Have you ever seen (or have you ever, if you are a ride op) ride ops make people do funny things before riding coasters?
We were at CP Thursday and rode Gemini a few times in a row. Each time the ride ops would ask everyone to put their "head fins" up before we left the station. This is where you put your hands together and put them on the top of your head., so that it looks like a fin. Sometimes they would threaten to not let us ride unless we did it. lol. They were also saying that it makes you go faster.
Of course me and my sis knew it was a joke. But it was hilarious to see people in the blue train going up the hill with their head fins on. 2 of the riders kept them on almost the entire ride. My sis and I were cracking up.
Have you ever witnessed ride ops doing silly things like this to pass the time?
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

^Amateurs, everyone knows the key to winning on the Gemini is to paddle ;).
haha i already tryed that it didnt go to well ....
^ It doesn't work so well when you are the only one doing it. lol. I guess the ride ops should have told everyone to paddle. Because when I told everyone to do it, I ended up being the only one doing it. I might have looked silly, but at least I didn't have a head fin on. ;)
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
Its more fun paddling on Magnum in the pretzel just so you can make it back to the station.

Maxair - at the end of the speech the guy says "Thanks for riding Maxair, which is better than Skyhawk"
An african-american ride host on Maverick really loves to talk and will take back with you over the P.A saying "YEAAHHHHHHH" and all this crazy stuff.
Gemini - ride ops talking back saying alright guys this train will take you up (forgot how tall) now I need you to say "Oooh", alright good, this train will take you up (forgot what he even said haha) now I need you to say "Aaah".
Red train are you ready to go? If you're ready to go lets hear you see "I like ot move it move it".
Skyhawk had what seemed like Eeore or something talking as the guy sounded so bored like "Thanks for noticing me" kind of style speech.
The guy from Maverick though will definitely provide you with the most entertainment though.
During CM towards the end of ERT MF became TTD, Iron Dragon, and Jr. Gemini while I was in the station, but they actually did the speal correct for the ride they were doing which was impressive that they knew them all.
I also enjoyed the Gemini Ride Op getting us to do the wave while we waited for Gemini to open after the rain storm by running up and down the midway as well.
One of the funniest things I have heard a ride op say was last year at HWeekends. It was the guy for TTD and he said "Does anybody in line know why nobody should ever take a Pokemon into the restroom with them?..... Cuz he might Peek-a-chu!" (Making it sound like peek at you)
It was funny and everybody in line laughed... Especially the kid with the Pokemon stuffed animal.
Let's Get Weird.
Your mom is too fat to ride the TTD:
A ride op on the Magnum said that last year too! The ride op's recycle eachothers jokes.....
hah
I believe it's called spieling.
I noticed it a lot on Gemini when I went last week.
Cedar Point is undoubtedly amazing.
On the Meanstreak one operator said: "The Meanstreak is so mean, it will delete all your pictures off Facebook." and then for the next car he said "The Meanstreak is meaner than a text message break up."
Haha, pokemon is not current. That joke must've been passed down many generations of Magnum operators without a sense of humor.
The Paddlewheel Excursions boat op also said the Pikachu joke during the course of the ride.

TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(
Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast!
Ron Paul 2008/2012!
On father's day when I went, the skyhawk ops:
"Please do not push the blue lapbars, do not touch them, do not rub them, do not touch the person's next to you, do not feel them, do not cheat on them, because they will cheat on you, do not grab them, and do not breathe on them...etc, etc.
Funniest ride operator I have ever run into was yesterday on Mean Streak... I believe his name was Brian? His voice was flamboyant, which made everything he said even funnier.
"Welcome back Red Train how was your ride? GREATTT! GET OUT!!!"
"Welcome to Mean Streak, get in... now... do it!"
"You will be taken around really fast in big circles really banky and fun!"
"Enjoy your ride on Mean Streak, it's so mean it will talk behind your back... O-M-G, no way!"
"Enjoy your ride on Mean Streak, it will be your paparazzi! POSE! POSE! It takes pictures!"
(Points at girl who pushed down the lapbar trying to go through to put stuff into the bin before boarding) "LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!! Was your stuffed animal really worth ruining my day?"
I have never laughed more in line for a ride than that...a close second was the "Crazy Dancing Man" in the Millennium Force queue earlier that day... haha.
