I was just watching a video of him earlier this morning!

An inverted coaster is like a ski lift gone haywire!!

lol I did that on the Gemini when we were at CP.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
I can't resist, in referendum to what people were saying about gemini, the key to winning is Air-row
I am sorry for the most part for making that joke again Adam.
;)
Also back on topic one time we were getting in line for gemini and the old guy that was holding the height pole tried to rap and said "Your in line for Gemini, that ain't no lie"

One of the guys for Wicked Twister this year is really funny. Mavericks crew this year also has funny staff members.
WT ops were funny this sunday! They asked us if we wanted a surprise launch or a countdown launch, and we shouted surprise launch! Then he started discribing a surprise launch and in the middle of his sentence, he launched our train.
On paddlewheel, they wrere pretending that TTD was an idea that came from paddlewheel excursions. Paddlewheel originally was called Top thrill paddlewheel boats! when TTD was built, they changed the name to paddlewheel EXCURSIONS.
Maxair is not better than skyhalk. they are the same fun-ness! :)
Those are some good ones, the one I remember isn't really funny just confusing. So we were walking the stairs to Gemini, and I noticed they had replaced the wood in many spots. But when we were sitting in the trains in the station, the one op said " We still haven't replaced a single piece of wood". Walking up the stairs it looked like there were new pieces of wood.
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
Here is a funny one. A few years back at Kings Island me and a buddy were riding Flight Deck. It was a really short line so we pretty much rode it non stop for an hour but anyways, I am thinking that this Ride op must have JUST been transferred to Kings Island from Cedar Point because when the ride ended and he went through his speech he kept saying "thanks for riding flight deck and hope you enjoy the rest of your day Cedar Point Americas Rollercoast Ride on. After a few times it became clear that he was not doing it on purpose because he would stop half way and say kings island... It was funny...

You would have thought they would have given him something to read off of so he wouldn't make that mistake.
It's funny for some rides they'll joke around with their speech and telling you how you should seat yourself and then buckle in since I guess some people put the harness down first before the seat belt. I'm even guilty of this mistake. Like for Millennium Force they'll be like seat belt first lap bar second. I guess Dragster does this too. They'll go on and on. Has anybody else heard them say that?
I dont think the mass repeating is them being funny, its them hoping people will actually do that. It happens on Maxair (flip flops in container) and the Matterhorn (your lap bars will not lock!) from time to time.
My personal favorite silly speal is this one on Magnum:
Here on Magnum we are going to take you down a terrifying first drop of 3.5 ft first drop where you will reach speeds in excess of 12 mph! So sit back relax and enjoy your ride!

The guy for WT--was he telling you all to say these different words while on the ride, and the folks in line have to listen to see if your train says that word or not? He was coming up with some weird words that had nothing to do with anything going on, nor the ride! I was there 2 weeks ago, and I think our word was butterscotch or some mess; he was killing me!
fast...Faster...FASTEST!
Tonight on Millennium Force for the ERT they were all being over tired and silly. The yellow train became the banana train and they proceded to sing Hollaback girl and banana phone, and the blue train became the cookie monster train.
Definitely made my night. BTW Had total of 7 on MF and 3 on Maverick for the ERT. We skipped Raptor and Magnum for the night.

Mean Streak I've seen them do some funny stuff....Welcome to Top Thrill Mean Streak and stuff like that. Gemini I think has the most lively crew trying to get the trainload pumped for the ride but the silliest I've ever seen was not from a ride op but a dude on WT. He was sitting one row ahead of my buddy and I. I can't type 99% of what came out of his mouth but he was hysterical. The best parts being when we'd fly up the spike and he would talk real fast to get in all his 'prayers' before we'd stall out and drop back down again. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Couldn't tell if he was scared or enjoying it since he was in front of me but I think he enjoyed it judging from the smile when he was walking to the exit.
I have 3 "funny" ride-op moments I can recall over the past few years...
I think it was the year TTD came out, or maybe MF, but I remember loading up for Blue Streak and the ride op giving stats about "We're going to take you up 65 [?] feet and drop you 57 feet at blazing speeds approaching 45 [?] mph, and we're going to flip you upside down not once, not twice, but NEVER!!" My husband and I still quote that.
Another one was the first time we rode Maverick, and we pulled back into the station and the ride op asked "How was your ride???" and we all clapped and cheered and hooted and hollered, and he said "I know...." Was just funny.
The last one was when we were in line for Corkscrew. TTD had been down for most of the day. We were waiting to load and they started giving the stats and said something to the extent of "We'll be zooming down the track at the speed of light, approximately 48 mph... which by the way is 48 mph faster than TTD right now." Was good for a chuckle.
I have to say, I live closer to KI than I do CP and the KI ride ops have 0 personality in comparison to those at CP. That really goes a long way for me.
"It's a quest. It's a quest for fun! I'm gonna have fun, and you're gonna have fun."
On Gemini we were on the left side (forget what color that is, I think red) and we were done loading, and the ride ops finished checking the restraints. The other train was not even 1/2 way through checking the restraints. The op with the speaker said we already won the race because they were slow.
Let's Get Weird.
When was that? I was the spieler at Gemini last year at Halloweekends and I am not very fast, but I am very talkative and like making cracks and jokes about it.
I loved it there, but you work too hard for what you get IMO.
actually you scream at the train to go faster and it usually works
What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!
A few years ago I remember getting on Magnum and the ride ops instead of stating the ride facts said "Attention on coming Magnum riders, were going to take you up really really high and drop you really really low at an extreme amount of speed and that's all need to know because you are riding the Magnum XL200". I still find that funny.
And once when me and my friends were in line for Gemini one of the ride ops was messing around with the mic so it made a loud knocking sound. The other ride op was like "is that a woodpecker?" The first op said "yes, it's a woodpecker in an entirely steel structure".
Still waiting for that 500ft floorless wooden coaster.
