The 17 and High School graduate is coming from the housing part. In order to stay at Cedar Point you have to be 18 or 17 and a high school graduate. And who was that 17 year old on Dragster's Crew this year?

No it really is 17 and graduated from high school. I found this out after I processed out.. Wouldn't have mattered though because I was working in foods and there is no way out of that place.
Why dont we just call Park Op and find out for sure lol.

You have to be turning 18 at some point in the summer and graduated from High School.
Sorry, I like the fact that you have to be 18 to work rides, by then you are at least a little more responsible.
^ Or at least you would think so, wouldn't you?

I believe you can "help out" on a ride- ie, lap bar checks, load/unload, speil. But not work controls. I think Ohio state law says you have to be 18 yrs old to touch the controls. Not sure though.

I don't think so. I think it must be a CF/CP thing, because PKI hired ride ops at 16. That's probably going to be changing this year though.

That is crazy, but some people don't look their age. The law in Ohio that all ride attendents/hosts/operators must be at least 16. I think Six flags set it up that you must be 16 to be an attendent, and 18 to be an operator. (controls) Cedar Point simply hires 18 and older for ride hosts, but they do all positions from entrance to controls as long as they are properly trained for each position.
As for 17 year olds working outside of the train, I don't know. I haven't seen anyone do that personally.
I work at Conneaut Lake Park and there rules are if you are under 18 you have to work in kiddyland, But they pulled me out and showed me every big ride and put me on their main coaster The Bluestreak. And I am only 16
And What would they do one the Train?

Six Flags is set up in the way that if you are 16, you can work in Ride Ops with no restrictions. At My Six Flags, I knew 17 year olds that were Leads and were better at it than most older ones as well.
