I was pretty nervous my first time spieling, but I really don't know why. You get used to it and once you're comfortable, you can say all of the required safety information but be really entertaining at the same time. It's also fun using accents.

If its anything like spieling for Cedar Downs, I dunno, It's just kind of boring. People typically listen to you even less than they normally do at other rides. I always loved spieling at Twister, You get to count down the launch and thats really fun!

First time I brought my little sister on Twister, they did the surprise launch (counting quickly). All she said after the ride stopped was "boy, they sure count quickly!" Gave my whole family a good laugh :D

And forty years from now you'll still be able to recite that speil verbatim without batting an eye.
Oncoming riders welcome to WildCat where we will take you up an amazing fifty one feet. Drop you fifty of those feet at a blazing speed of forty miles per hour. We will then turn you upside down not once, not twice, but zero times! As a reminder you must be forty eight inches or taller to ride this ride. If you are not at least forty eight inches or taller you will not be permitted to ride. All loose articles must go with you on this ride. That's right everything you have with you must go by your feet; hats, sunglasses, even the pickachu prize you won must go with you on this ride. If it cannot fit in the car you must leave it with a non-rider. Each car holds four people and one seatbelt will fit around two people. So if you are a group of one or two you will be paired with another group of one or two. This allows our line to move quicker and get you on the ride faster. While you are waiting in line with us we ask that you please do not sit stand or swing on the silver or purple handrails. One final time, you MUST be forty eight inches or taller to ride. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point, America's Rockin' Roller Coast.
I loved spieling it was my favorite part of the job. And yeah nobody listens to you at the Carousel lol! I know that for a fact... But we still have to do it anyways. The week I was at maXair spieling got me excited and I had fun with the guests and they had fun with me too! Its just an amazing part of the job!

It gets pretty repetitive saying "How was your ride?" sometimes BUT it does brighten your day when guests get excited/enthusiastic about the ride :) It's also fun on Gemini for the competition aspect of it.

At twister, I wanna say we had about 12? Probably more through out the season. Size, just depends on how well we are staffed. We typically run a 6-8-6 at Twister (meaning, 6 people in at open, 8 people when we're running breaks, and 6 people to close the ride), however, we can run a 4-5-4 when staffing is really tight. Just depends.
