Ride Contest

It's just how they decide to round. It's not a conspiracy.

Oh I wasn't saying it was a conspiracy Jeff, but yeah the rounding is probably the best reason why it is like that..

Thought some of you would like to know that the Beast went up against Maverick in the third round. Maverick won with 70%.

Yikes no love for CP, MF should have blown soarin over california out of the water, but it was close

To be fair, Soarin' is an amazing ride. Though not better than MF, certainly.

Its hard to compare them because they both do what they are supposed to do really well.

And to be honest, Soarin blew me away when I rode it. Just a completely amazing ride, especially from the front row (so we were on the top row when it rotated up).

^ Sort of like comparing anything at Cedar Point to anything at Disney.

Has anyone checked out "Blue Fire"?

Food at Disney DESTROYS the food at CP.

The operations at Disney are far and above those at CP (wasn't always like this).

The atmosphere is about similar.

Its just hard to compare some rides to other rides. Especially when both of them do what they are supposed to do VERY well.

I will say that Maverick, with all the extra thought and money CP put into landscaping, the canyons, the second tunnel, the water bombs, and so forth, really stands up to any coaster in Florida. Including Orlando and Tampa.

^Agree. Has anyone been keeping up with the contest? TPI members seem pretty upset that so many CP fans are flooding the vote.

Well CP is putting things up in the blog and even on their Facebook page to go vote for the rides, so I can see where all the CP fans are coming from.

About Soarin' and MF...tough break, but both are amazing rides in their own respect. When I first rode Soarin' I went in expecting alot, and was not dissapointed.

^ Maverick had a 20% lead and lost. By reading the comments, many Universal fans were asked to vote at the last minute.

It looks like MF is still in the running...I thought someone had said it lost to Soarin'? Because it is up again Everest.
