MrScott, if you do not have insurance, speak with the financial office regarding your account. You may quilify for HCAP, a state program that will pay a percentage of your bill. If you make to much for HCAP, the hospital may have a sliding scale adjustment available that they are willing to write off some (sometimes alot) of your bill. Lastly, if none of these work for you, just pay what you can each month. Once they have accepted what you send for 3 months in a row, they are legally bound to consider that a contract of payment.

Thanks Good Grief. I do not have insurance at this time. I was "downsized" and my insurance ended everal months ago. I was never offered COBRA, but am working on that foul up (on the company's part) to this day. I am also still talking with the hospital and others about this HUGE debt that I have. I[ll look into HCAP, thanks again for the advice!
