Resorts

I have not stayed in the resorts in a loooong time, so I really do not know what they are like. I am planning in staying in one of the hotels this summer. Which is everyones favorite? I am thinking the Breakers would be fun, but I really do not know with all these stories being told about the place.

Search through the trip reports, that'd be the best way to find candid info regarding the resorts.

My personal favorite is Lighthouse Point. In either the cabins or the cottages, you can't go wrong.

I'll second the LHP recommendation.

All of the resorts are worth staying at, it just depends on what you are looking for. If you do not have alot of money to spend Breakers express is cheap and not bad.

The breakers is nice also and they have a section that is older but at a reasonable price.

Sandcastle is very nice also but is a little pricey. Like I said thay are all very good hotels, it just depends on how many people you are going with and how close you want to be to the park.

I have never stayed at the LP before but everyone has said great things about it.

Where's Mr. Scott when we need him?

My favorite CP hotel is the Breakers East section. Nice views of the beach if you get a suite, very close to the park enterance by Ocean Motion, right by a swimming pool and some of the nicest rooms available at CP.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

We haven't heard from MrScott in a while.

LHP is a great place though.

He found out that there wasn't water involved with Maverick... ;)

For opening day this year, which resort should I pick? I want to get to Maverick fast, to skip the vast amount of lines.

Maybe he's just waiting to live that down before he posts again. If so, it's safe, Mr. Scott. We've forgotten all about it. We promise not to taunt you!

Heh-heh-heh.

I don't think the guy named "Ensign Smith" has any room to taunt the guy named "MrScott".

Just a guess though. ;)

Ok I'm done......

And actually, Mr. Scott is busy building a look-a-like of one of the LHP cabins in his backyard out of an old manufactured house. He's also digging some ponds and setting up a dozen different kinds of water features to get his mind off of Mavericks missing water feature.

I'm going to date myself with this one, but "Cedar Point is the cure for the summertime blues......"

Well, I remember that one. And since half these kids were born AFTER that marketing campaign....

I remember it too. Are we old?

Brandon

About what year was that? I seem to remember that too, but it could just be that I've heard it so many times on this site. :)
