They should bring it back as a "new" commercial. Like, do the same commercial, but with a new twist or something on it. If done well, it would get a new generation of kids interested in it, and also evoke a bunch of nostalgic memories in people that grew up with that commercial. Maybe they could entice a bunch of people that had "lost touch" with the Point to return?
It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. What, six or eight years? I don't know if "we're" old, but I sure feel that way sometimes.

"You can ride on the rails, you can shoot the rapids this summer......
Spend the day on the beach, or do (something I forget) this summer
Cuz all the places you want to go this summer
Are at Ceeeee Darrrrr Point"
NOW THATS OLD!
I remember the summertime blues one as well. And for some reason I can still to this day remember the teaser commercials for MS when they had the truckloads of lumber comming in to CP in the middle of the night, wish I could find that somewhere.
MrScott is still around, but having some medical issues, which include a partial loss of eyesight. It's really messed up my computer useage. Hopefully, my appointment with a retinal specialist next week helps to "clear things up".
BTW, Lighthouse Point is the best way to visit Cedar Point...:)

I like the ad for "Great lake, Great park, Great day, CEDAR POINT!"
Or something of the like. :P
Coaster-fanatics.com has a lot of great ads, including Demon Drop, Gemini, the one I mentioned, and quite a few others from Cedar Point and other parks. There's even a very long video with footage of The Bat! :)
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
^^
Wow, hope all goes well for you MrScott.
Good to hear from you at least.

Thank you, Loopy. I appreciate the well wishes. Never take your eyesight for granted.

Yeah, MrScott, hope everything is okay. Some of us have tried to fill in for you with the Lighthouse Point promotions, but it's not the same. :)

Thanks DBCP! I'll try and be more present here. For those that have delt with eyesight issues: I have a ruptured blood vessel in the retina of one eye and several small hemorages as well.
I have worn glasses all my life and all of the issues I'm having now are in my weak eye. But, eyes work in a pair. Makes it tough to read the computer screen or small newsprint. Typing is also a challenge.
Again, I thank you folks for your well wishes and hope to post here more often in the future. Especially about my opinion that Lighthouse Point is the best way to enjoy CP! :)

Hey, Mr. Scott, sorry to hear about the medical woes. My father had to get surgeries for detached retinas in BOTH eyes this fall, and it worked it out very well. So hang in there, and keep your spirits up!

Yes we do, Disney Mike. But all CP plans for me are off for 2007 right now. I'm restricted in driving only locally for now (look out West Michigan!). Hopefully, this Spring will bring brighter days.

Mr. Scott, glad to see you're back, sorry to hear about the problems though. Had a friend that went through something similar a couple months ago, except his problems were caused by the toe of a hockey stick hitting his eye.
He recovered though, and after a couple months off is back to playing.
Hopefully everything goes alright for you though.
Goodbye MrScott
John
