We've said this more times than I can count. Cedar Point's biggest fans are its harshest critics.

I don't see disappointment from anyone but you. Yeah, capacity sucked on Dragster opening day, but in addition to the fact that we go into opening day knowing it'll be crowded (but go anyway), most of us are willing to cut them a little slack. Let's be frank... if it were the competition the ride wouldn't have been open at all. Unless there is some catastrophic failure, I can bet that we'll not see a single day where the ride hasn't operated at all.

Is Dragster perfect? The experience sure is, and I'm amazed the complaints about queue time aren't worse. If I went opening day, I probably would have skipped Dragster and had a beer. I might have even bought you one, but you're not old enough.

Truth is, the park opened much as it closes every year, and opens every day in between. Every ride was open, and running at a reasonable capacity. All things told, I'm amazed they do as well as they do every year with 4,000 seasonal employees.

Dude, I wish I would of ran into you opening day, then you could of bought me the beer instead;) I skipped Dragster myself obviously....but not to worry I'll be back and I know CP will have it kickin some.

It's a long, brutal off-season people, give them a little time to work out some of the bugs.

I was super before Superstew was cool!

You must not have ridden Dragster steelrider, because unless I was missing something the main purpose of this ride was to be the biggest and fastest, and it definitely accomplished that, even if the line did suck. So don't say they didn't get what they were shooting for.

rogue, have you been on X? I haven't ridden TTD, but X is my fav coaster. Even beat out MF, which isn't easy for me. It literally makes every other ride at SFMM look like a kiddie ride. Unless you've ridden it, you can't really be dissing it...
You're weird fruity. X is better then MF?...HA!, Thats something else...I couldnt possibly imagine X being better then MF in any ways.

Hey come on now steelrider33, Dont be scared...you can come out now.

Well, Big D, if you haven't been on it, then you really wouldn't know....it's not the easiest ride to describe. But, it gives you sensations that no other ride out there can reproduce. If you've been on it, and didn't like it, then fine. But, until you go on it, you can't really judge it.
Hmm, lol....I guess youre right, but 95% of the people that been on it and that been on MF say X is crappy and rough.

If I remember, x flight only ran 1 train when it first opend. It happens with new rides. I thought cp did a good job on opening day.
Ummm, actually, I'm dying to ride X since I've heard that it's awesome. Don't know where you're getting all this negativity from. I only wish it was reliable from the start and wasn't a source of so many problems so we could have seen other 4Ds popping up by now. As for MF - blah - give me Magnum any day! :)

Unless you sit in the corner of the park and not go on any coaster you had a fun time.

I visited the park on opening day, did a lot of sitting in the corner of the park, rode only one coaster -- Gemini -- and I picked the winning train! ;-) and still had a fantastic time...

I've been to WoA twice since the Geauga Lake Sea World merger. Both times I went for free as a guest of a Cleveland Clinic employee on their 'company day' at the park. I doubt that I would ever visit that park if I had to pay for admission. My friend recently interviewed and accepted a job at a reseacrh hospital in Boston. So I've most likely taken my last ride on the Villian.

Visit Tommy'sWorld!!!

Is it just me or does anyone else find it amazing that CP can construct a 420ft tall 120mph groundbreaking coaster and open it on time. Not to mention they accomplished this during one of the worst winters Ohio has seen in recent years. Hmmmm lets see the majority of Six Flags parks are located in mild climate areas like Cali and TX, but over the last couple of years they have not been able to open a single groundbreaking ride on time (X, Xflight, Superman the Escape, Deja Vu, just to name a few).

Yes CP openend with low capacity on TTD and they had some other minor problems, but I dare anyone to find a better park than CP when it comes to rides, atmosphere, and employees. I dare anyone (steelrider33) take a ride on TTD, Millie, Magie, Raptor and the rest and name one park with better rides, atmosphere, and employees than CP. Of the 35+ parks I have visited, none compare to what CP has to offer(not even Disney's communist eutopia in Florida). Parks have problems when its the first day of the seasson this is to be expected, but to judge CP on opening day is pathetic. For example IOA opened their first year with all the veterans from universal studios operating the rides and food venues leaving all the newbies to run the studios side of universal, lets just say that universal studios was the Six Flags of Florida that summer.

Steelrider33, is as dificult to find as Swiss war medals, I hope you have a great summer at your local cesspool, I mean Six Flags. Maybe one day you will come back to CP and realize what an amazing place it is, like so many of my fellow CP fans have at this site. To everyone who is a fan of CP just remeber Steelrider33 will be one less person in line for TTD this summer.

uh-oh. someone here (along with MANY other people) dont know what mr wink is. ya see this little winkin fella? ;) that USUALLY means that you can expect some sarcasm from what you had just read. do i want to go on X? hell yes! would i rather go on Top Thrill Dragster? once more, hell yes!

oh, and mr. steelrider, wherever you are, Cedar Point was VERY much up to capacity today. i was able to squeeze in 2 rides on Dragster (with a 2.5 hour wait), although one was during ERT(with a 30 minute wait behind the dude who rode Magnum 2300 times or somethin like that). i believe that 4 trains were a-runnin, and a-runnin strong. oh, and they all had 5 cars on them towards the end of the day! think of true opening day to be today, as it is the first day of daily operation. the 4th was just a tasty appetizer to daily operation. what a great freakin time...

Luke035, there is perhaps only one EXTREMELY IMPORTANT fact that I have learned about Geauga Lake in the past few years, and that is...

NEVER VISIT THAT PARK ON CLEVELAND CLINIC DAY!!!

I did that once. Granted, this was before they bought Sea World. But I did that once, I got there when the park opened, I rode all the coasters as quick as I could, and by Noon it wasn't possible to walk down the midway. I actually bailed out of that park and went to Cedar Point where it was less crowded.

I've been to Geauga Lake many times and generally had a good time there, but Cleveland Clinic Day was just NUTS!

...and the most anticipated event of summer 2003 is...

The Matrix: Reloaded!

Its amazing how immature people get when they cant back up their ideas with facts...They start to call people names, make fun of people...etc. I should have expected it from some of you-however, others i was pleased to read their responses, ad thanks. Maybe i'll get back down to CP in August- perhaps then I will be satisfied.

Well, the reason I(steelrider33) havent responded is because, yes, i got booted. Its really a crock of crap when you cant state your opinion on this website without getting booted off, or being against (or definitly not with) CP. Its allright, just goes to show this webmaster's a wuss, because i said nothing innappropriate, nor used profanity.

Anywho, thanks for your opinions, i liked them...oh, and how can some of you compare X to TTD? Both uncomparable, and not true that X opened on the 12th of January 2002 with only one train...because I was there.

X- a new riding experience, try falling two hundred feet straight down, and head first...its unlike anything i have ever been on or will ever be on.

TTD- Tallest, Fastest coaster on earth...launch unbelievable...not much airtime over the top...but unbelievable speed and twist on the way down.

Later.

Let's get something straight here, chief. You got booted for telling me to "shut up." Kinda makes your statement about being immature kinda like calling the kettle black, eh? You can disagree all you want, you just can't be a moron like that.

Have a nice day!
