I saw you Josh when you walked by. I really had no idea how to go about getting last train, I just followed the guy in the yellow coat, he seemed to know what was going on.
I got two rides in a row Saturday night around 11:55 John. One was in the front and one was in the ejector seat. They sure were wild. Magnum is by far my favourite coaster at CP.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I must have missed you somehow. I was riding right up until 12 and then stopped at the entrance to wait for the phone call.
Goodbye MrScott
John
The best part about Sunday was Jen, who was scared of anything bigger than Gemini at the beginning of the season and absolutely hated Magnum when I first took her on it, riding all of our last rides on Magnum and putting her hands up in the air.
I knew from that point that she was starting to break through her fear. Before that ride, everything else she rode with a death grip.

Josh, things seemed to go rather smoothly at Millennium and Dragster, compared to previous years...
Of course, Dragster doesn't have a lot to compare to being that this is only the second time it has run all the way up to closing time on closing day. As for the crowd at Millennium, there was a decent sized group waiting for the last ride when I walked past them. Had I been one train ahead of where I was, I would have had time to jump in line again.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Jeff Y, she wanted to ride MF this weekend, but her 2 conditions were: a.) not in the rain and b.) not in the dark. Understandable on both accounts.
Well, it rained on both Friday and Saturday, and we were having so much fun on Sunday in the rest of the park that we never even made it over to MF. :(
Oh well, she knows what she wants to ride next year.
^ Becc took her first ever ride on MF on Friday..... in the rain AND in the dark.
Of course that was after I couldn't get the F$%^& belt fastened. I guess it worked out for the best though. They said it was a rough ride and I figured it would be when I saw Michael J. Fox getting on. I swear I can't believe they let these people with debilitating diseases ride but fat people can't. Its preposterous.
(in case anyone missed the drops of sarcasm flooding their monitor, ;) ;) ;) ;))
Goodbye MrScott
John
I managed to get the last ride on the back seat of Millennium Force and I wasn't even try. It was so cool to be on the last train of the year on me favorite coaster. It was even more fun riding it with half the employees including Tony.
While I admit it would be nice to have the last ride of the season on a particular ride, it isn’t something that I’ll go too far out of my way to do. From what I have read about past seasons (this was my first closing day), I’d rather just avoid any potential situations to begin with.
I too just missed a second ride on Millennium Force. I could see them letting people in line as the train flew over the entrance, but try as I might, I made it to the entrance just in time to see them close it off.

Certainly looks like it. Could also be them winching the valleyed train up to the MCBR so they can run it the rest of the way through.

I guess they did pull it back up to the brakes.

Thats definitely what I'd do if it were my call.
Option 1
Have a crew disassemble the train piece by piece and have a crane place the pieces on an flatbed to be taken to storage
Option 2
Have the same crane just pull the train up to the MCBR and have the train complete its flight. Then use the transfer track to remove the train like the others.

You can see a crain on the first pic. and not on the second pic (same with all the flags)

Gotta love those fuzzy webcam pics of CP's midway. Only people like us would find that fascinating. Clearly that's why we're here :)
Hail to the Victors
Looks like it took em' a couple of hours to move it, but yes, Good Job Jason
Also, what cameras are you all taking pictures with, you have such clear motion shots of Raptor ;)
