If Wicked Twister didn't valley, CP might have problem.
Valley is just a rollback just on a normal coaster and it gets stuck in between two hills, or the valley of the hills. Wind, weight, wheels all create this.

...And blow the cobra roll down, so that there's a break in the track where they can take the train off from. ;)

Or get a crane take the cars off one by one lift it away and put it in storage until the offseason inspections go on. It is closing day and all, why would they put it back in the station?

yea most likely it will be removed from that location and will head to the storage for inspections, which is what they would be doing with that train anyways, now they just have to remove it from a weird place that its not normally removed from...

Maverick is the only coaster at CP that hasn't valleyed at one point in history, for obvious reasons.
Maverick isnt build all the way yet so nobody knows what it will do. Do you mean another coaster?
It was really odd seeing it just sitting there like that. We stuck around as late as we could to see if they would move it or open it. They never did.
Everything else was running great yesterday.
I rode Raptor during the Joe Cool time Saturday morning. It was running only one train and they would not let it go unless ALL seats were full.
I was almost certain we were NOT going to make the MCBR. I swear we hit it and crawled through it at less then 5mph !!!!! Needless to say the rest of the ride was forceless in that back row !!!
It was down for most of the day Saturday. It was VERY windy not not mention the rain and hail. However, it did open later in the afternoon one the weather front went through and was running much better.
Thanks for the pictures. Too bad it wasn't open on the last day. Did this valley happen during testing or were there people on the train? It is odd seeing it just sit there. I rode it last weekend, and it seemed to be going quite fast- I don't know how it could have valleyed. I never knew temperatures and wind had such an effect on rides.
Thrills Around the Corner!
No, I talked to Tony and Tyler there yesterday. They clearly indicated to me that the train would be returning to the station, most likely today.

Was anyone on it when it valleyed?
There are 2 types of computer users in the world; those that back up often, and those that have never had a hard drive fail.
No, it was the first test run of the day.

We were there 'til about 8:15 last night and it was odd to see the lights that normally shine up onto the cobra roll shining directly on the train stuck there.
As was said, everything else in the park was running great yesterday, other than DT which broke as soon as we stepped foot in the train and pulled down on our lap bars, that was around 6'ish last night. Still unsure of what the problem was other than they were looking on the track for something. I think we did a 3 or 4 ride-a-thon on Magnum from 7:45 'til 8:00 last night while the people that wanted to ride the last train of the year stood at the entrance. I found it rather humorous actually.
Great year overall Cedar Fair, kudos!
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
What they usually do is wench the train back up to the MCBR and then continue the course of the ride from there. Kinda sad to see that they rolled it back on the last day of the season....The one day the Team Leader isn't there ;-)

You know you're in trouble when you're heading to Raptor for Joe Cool and 4 of the Raptor crew are stopping me on the way to tell me Raptor was down and why. I freaked for 2 reasons. 1, like an idiot I had my camera in my hand before I left the house and decided NOT to take it.
After seeing Raptor and taking tons of camera phone pics, ran to Pagoda to price a throw away camera and about fell over. With tax $17.00! I almost fell over!! (maybe that price included processing? ha ha) Instead hubby and I jumped in my truck, drove to WalMart and spent $4.00 (FOUR) dollars with tax for the same damn camera. Came back and used 20 of the 24 shots on my down baby. We even rode Cadillac Cars and Cedar Downs so I could get the best shots :)
Reason 2, besides 2003 (when Raptor was down mechanical on CD) it was the 1st year since '99 I didn't get on the last GP train of the season.
Sucked. No rides yesterday and last night just was not the same without that last ride! :(
We did however ride Banshee (front car) and if you keep your eyes closed the B&M roar sounds remarkably like my baby! :)
I found it pretty funny all day how people kept stopping me to ask me/tell me about Raptor :)
Oh well, there's always next year!!! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
