Radio?

Ok, I can't drive unless I have music playing, the question is, what radio stations do most employees listen to while at the Point?

What do you like? 88.7 for new hard rock. 104.7 & 94.5 for classic rock. 100.7 for a mix of the two. 102.7 for light/moderate/modern/dance/country.... a real mixed bag. 96.1 for country. These are the stations that I have programmed. I wouldn't mind having some suggestions myself.

I know of 89X for rock, are most stations based out of Detroit also?

12 days until I process in.

102.7 is a pop station. I've never heard country on the Mix. KissFM is another good one, pop and rap mixed...they're at 96.5 or .7 (Don't remember right now).

There are a wide variety of stations here in town, one on each number from 94 on up, basically. Some are stronger than others, but every taste is pretty much covered.

Kiss FM, good? Sounds like an oxymoron to me. Those stations...ugh! Aimed at 15 year old teenie boppers.... 89X is sweet, but XM Radio is even better ;)

92.1 is a good station
If I were you, I'd bring LOTS of CD's. There's not many good radio stations.

Yeah, last year I couldn't find any good radio stations except 89X, but then that didn't always come in clear. Lots of CDs is a good idea! :)

89x (CIMX/Windsor-Detroit) is Canadian, eh? While they now have the same giant corporate owner that half the US stations do, they still have Canadian must-carry rules and such so you hear a lot more diversity than you do on the lame-ass Cleveland stations.

Sandusky itself has really lousy radio stations, but if you have a good antenna you can pick up stations from Cleveland and sometimes Detroit and Toledo.

89x is 100,000 watts from Windsor. You can here it in the western parts of Cleveland when WJCU (John Carroll University) isn't on the air. They have such high power because in the US all stations below 92 MHz are non-commercial, and generally low power.

I agree with MIKEVT bring lots of CD's cause most of the stations you get in Sandusky are crap.

Isn't it funny how some people claim to hate attention whores but they themselves, are attention whores?.

What was true the summer of '80 is true today!
Unfortunately Clear Channel rules the airwaves in Sandusky (hence why there's a "Mix" and a "Majic"). Gotta love mass-produced corporate radio.
Fortunately, there are some good stations out of Cleveland, and, of course, 88.7 89X CIMX out of Windsor.

As a Sandusky resident and daily listener of the Mix, I find that pretty closed-minded of you people to insult the Mix because it doesn't happen to be your taste. The signal is strong and clear, the on-air talent is entertaining, and the music (if you like top forty) is good. I'm proud to have Mix 102.7 as the first preset in my car.

It used to be WMMX- home of the "buzzard" that everyone would try to listen to! I have no idea if they are around anymore.
Sorry, Alan. I admit, I haven't really given it much of a chance. I just assumed it was the usual "manufactured radio" ClearChannel crap.
I used to work for a CC Mix station.

Also, I just looked it up, and WMMX is now a ClearChannel Mix station in Dayton, actually.
