Questions for the experienced...

Cedar Point is like my job right now. I have so much memories, and I know when I leave for Cedar Point, I'm going to be ballin my eyes out! I will make a scrap book to bring with me so I can remember the good times at my job. Then at the end of the 04' season, I will be ballin my eyes out again and making another scrap book!

All I can say, is be yourself. Just like any other job you may have had (if you haven't that;s ok) Just be yourself. It's ok to be nervous. As it has been mentioned before There are both mean people and nice people. Honestly, I've met mostly nice people. Honestly, more people want to help you when you first get there than people who don't want to help. So if you need to you can turn to the stranger next to you and ask for advice. They will pobably help. Your managers they will be the nicest people you have ever met in your whole life, most of them had to start from the very bottom also. If you are ever in doubt on something just ask one of them or your supervisor. Also, as it has been mentioned. don't expect it to be a fairy tale because it is a place of fun, there is still a lot of hard hands on get down and dirty work to do. So bring a few pairs of cloths you wouldn't mind getting dirty just in case.

I just can't get enough pf the place my self. The job is perfect for me. I'll be going on 4 summers in 2004.

Everyone keeps saying how bad Gold is to live, I lived there last season and I liked it sooo much better than commons (where i lived the first week). Yes Gold may be old but it has character, the bathrooms arent that bad, and the water pressure is soo much better than commons, i only counted 2 spiders, yea it got hot in the summer (no a/c) but with 3 fans one can overcome that, yes you hear the sounds of the park but after the the first week your used to it, its soo much easier to go get to work and get home from work, no having to wait for the bus:-D its right by the beach and the hotel(which is mucho fun to wander around in)....I just felt the need to stand up for Gold as i really liked living there:-D

1. Will they call you for a phone interview?

I had to call them so if they don't call you call them.

4. How exactly do you get the bonus?

they send it to you in the mail

7. If I don't get there until June 3, will I for sure have to live in Gold?

Last year i wasn't able to come till june 13 and i was still able to live in commons.

9. If I do get a job... is everyone mean to the newbies and the young ones (17)... Would I be able to make a lot of friends?!?

Of course you'll make friends.

I met toons of friends in just my first year. I still talk to alot of them still. I still think of them as my better best friends then many that i had out at home and at work back at home.

Sorry to butt in to your thread, Kristi, but I just have a few questions of my own:

1. What are the chances of getting a job out at CP if you have little employment history? (I only worked 18 days in my whole life)

2. What is the housing like? Is there a chance you'll be by yourself?

More as I think of them.

CP is a first job for alot of people so your chances could be pretty good.

Chance of being alone.. about zero..

About the only chance you have of getting your own room is if you were hired in one of a few, select positions in Accommodations. Off the top of my head I know the Night Auditors who work from midnight to 8:00 might get the offer of a single because of their unique positions.

Often times the 3rd shift Security folks or other similarly scheduled employees will be given the same aparment so that they can sleep during the day instead of having roommates running in and out.
