I am with DJ I am so praying for a lift-hill...

I'm gonna say around 170 feet or so would be nice, wouldn't it?

Not too big so that it eclipses MS, and still under 200 ft, so it would make a nice middle ground between big and "weak".

so there won't be a 500 ft Roller Coaster, and it will be a Smaller Coaster?

It is not official that the roller coaster will not be 500 ft. but, it is very unlikely.

1) How would you get a coaster to go that high? You could make a lift hill, but at that height, it is extremely dangerous and moving parts can break all the time. OR, you could launch it, but that is just taking away from TTD's experience.

2) The area is just too small for a lift hill (even at 45*) or a launched runway. The are is about the size of Mean Streak's "home", if not smaller.

3) A 500 foot coaster would just look ugly with supports sticking out everywhere. :)

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it happen, but I am going to say that it will not happen until 2009-10. Right now Cedar Point needs something they have not put it for a while, an average sized coaster.

With what I've seen on the most recent coaster show on NGG, I'd say the first Teracoaster (my term for it) might use an advance version of LIM's. *** Edited 6/21/2006 10:37:03 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

I just got back from a time travel trip to the future -- May 5, 2007, to be exact -- and, whew, are my arms tired.

Anyway, I got to see and ride the new attraction. It was amazing! I'm sworn to secrecy, so I can't tell you anything. The only thing I can say is that the future you's are laughing their asses off at the present you's, on account of how dead wrong you all are.

What do you mean, the 'former'? Ever since the Great East Coast Earthquake on Groundhog's Day 2007 brought down Kingda Ka, TTD reigns supreme again!

lol. TTD120, the ironic thing is, this is exactly what your future self posted -- excuse me, will post -- next year. ;)

I just want to say, if no one else will, that I think that those clustered and straight set of footers closest to the path will be the STATION, not the lift hill, and the train will leave the station, go through the little turn to the LEFT and into the hill facing the water (basically backwards from what some people have said or drawn).

Looking at MF's station shows an almost uncanny resembalence(sp) to the order of station track and supports.

I dont think its going to be a lift hill coaster i think it could be like a launching coaster. Can some make a mockup of that? I would like to see if it you can.
