I like "Cheers" re-runs on Nick @ Nite!

If it's been over 20 days I would give them a call and asked if your app. has been reviewed yet and asked to speak with resturant mangement. The holidays slow a lot of things down. I usually get a phone call before xmas but since they switched around and added some new mangers and area's I understand that some of them are still learning. You can always call in and check though about your app.

I don't think the managers are returning until next week (at least that is when mine gets back). Give them a couple of days, then call if you want. Usually, they will call you, but they might be very busy, so a call from you might help things get speeded along. But I'd say wait until next week at least.

Christie, if you want to work at Johnny Rockets, then tell them that in your phone interview. They usually try to place you where you'd like to be as long as they have spots open. I don't think it should be a problem :)

"Am I still in Cedar Point?"

And jsut a helpful hint.. When ( or if) you get forwarded to a voice mail please leave a message.. it may be a day or two before you get responded to but you will be responded to. ( and now my english teacher is cringing with horror at my wonderful grammar) Not everyone is in at the same time and some maybe away for a couple of days. I guess the moral to the story is Be Patient!

Hehe I love it. The word you were looking for is "response." "It may be a day or two before you get a response -- but you will get a response." That is SO something I would do.

"OH GOOD, that is what Becky was hopening for!" <--me, New Year's Eve, after we found the wine glasses for our pretend wine.

WOW! Its worse than I thought. I was talking about ending the sentence with a preposition.

Are you talking about 1-800-668-JOBS? That number is on cedarpoint.com somewhere if you want to go look for it. :)

What do they ask you on the phone interview?! What is the level of difficulty... 1-10... Sorry, I am sooo nervous... I don't even know why.... hmmm, okay, so bye everyone...
Phew... I'm not the only one after all.

You have no reason to be nervous about the phone interview at all, trust me. I know that I was real anxious about it too my first year, but it really is not bad. It is not difficult - or at least mine wasn't. I guess the questions will differ depend on which department you're in, but they don't quiz you or ask anything like "What would you do to acheive world peace?" ;-)

Basically they just tell you what the position will entail, ask if you don't mind walking a lot, etc. Then they give you the chance to ask any questions you might have. It should only take 5-10 minutes. Just be your normal self and be honest - it will be fine!

Steel, as long as you are yourself, you will be fine and they will welcome you in the Cedar Point family with a smile. :)

Hope to see you there soon. :)

SteelMonsters, your going to apply in Rides, right? When they called me for rides, the only questions they asked me were: "Are you affraid of heights?" and "Do you want adult rides or kiddie?".....Those were the two easest questions I have ever had to answer in an interview:) Its my third year and I still get nervous when they call;) (I don't know why?)

This is my 100th!

I applyed in rides on the 20th of december. :) I'm just waiting to call them back. Techniclly 15 days it tomorrow, but since it's a saturday I'm waiting till monday to call them.

Also, I'm still nervous... It does make much sense, but I am. I guess I'll be worried till I can prove to myself that I can actully do the job. I did happen to hear about how many people quit or get fired. I'm not a quiter, but this is a relatively big event for me. It's just the thought of my goals being for the summer are vulnerable to being foiled. I wish this wasn't such a drawn out process.

What about the job don't you think you can do? Can you raise your thumb and say "clear"? Can you push a button? If you can do those two things you are on your way to being an excellent ride op employee.
