Paddlewheel anxiety

I knew ryan, he has a pace maker and he is pretty cool. I went to dinner with him once, but it just was weird when we had to work together, because he told me I couldent drive and I said yeah well you smell.....marquis or whatever was my favourite to ride with, oh man he was funny...people only left with whiplash from me, not many laughs

I'm assigned to ATL of Paddlewheel Excursions

Wow it is weird to be saying that I will be back at the point. My name is Matt Daniels. My nickname at Cedar Point was "Crush". I worked on Gemini 1998 and was ATL of Power Tower in 1999. I am 24 and taught High School for two years. Decided to go back to school to get a Master's the PhD. However, I decided to wait until next year and take a year off of the academic scene. I want to get involved in CP again and try for full-time within the next couple years. I process in on April 13th and finish on October 31st. The whole season plus clean-ups.

PWE is going to be the bomb this summer... anywhere else you just check the seats and push the button, which is why I wanted to work there this year! With Weber and Tammy as sups... we're going to have fun, don't you worry. Yay Matt... we get there the same day... first PWE crew party April 13th sound good? Power Tower was my first ride in 00, and then again in 01... loved the down button until they made it suck. I can't wait to meet everyone, since I don't think I really know anyone on the crew yet... it's going to be a good time. Yup.

you guys are going to have a great time on pwe. unfortunately i am not returning to cedar point. but if i was, id go back to paddlewheel. the atmosphere and the boat driving was great. i hope you all enjoy working on the boats. ill be coming out for a couple days in the summer so i hope all you new captains carry on the tradition of terrible jokes and running geese over. oh and one thing.. dont comment on how delbert resembles dragster.. mgmt doesnt like that :)

I'm not getting there until May 2nd.. I doubt much of the crew will be either... I hope we all get along, sounds like we will, since you kind of have to be outgoing to work Paddlewheel!

Hey PWE Crew. This is Matt...just in case you didn't know...your ATL. Nicole...you sound awesome. I have LOTS of energy and love having fun! I hope you all are ready for a wild, crazy, fun filled summer. I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine from 98 & 99. He is Michael Weber, I can't believe he is our sup. Again, can I say...it is gonna be a wild and crazy summer! Nicole..you said you worked on Power Tower in 2000 which would have been the summer after I was ATL. So you probably know most of my old crew. I am sure you know asshole Kris Leonard. Boy me and him didn't get along too well. He didn't seem to like gay guys...and definitely didn't like the fact that his ATL was one. He ran off almost every gay guy on our crew. All but me. I wasn't gonna let him win. You probably also worked with Kelly Lorkowski, Mark Holstein, Jeff Bostick, Dan Duffy, Chapstick ( I can't remember his name, I think it was Richard), Lenices Barnes, Al Voorhies...man I miss alot of those guys. But not KRIS! What an ass! anways...now that I have got that off my chest...can't wait to meet you Nicole! Absolutely we should have a crew party on the 13th....maybe at the X? No just kiddin!

Yes, I worked with all of them... Chappy even came back in 2001, although he got fired in September after he got drunk and peed on his roommate's computer. I wouldn't know about Leonard's thing about gay guys because we never had one on our crew, beginning to end... I can't wait to get the season started... if you have AIM or Yahoo, my name is nikkipoooo on those too. I had to edit to add that our sups are great, Weber was my sup last season, and our ass. sup Tammy was my TL last season... the only thing I have against the X is that every time I go there (well, it's only been three times) I get undressed by some guy on the dance floor, and I'm keeping my clothes firmly in place this season...

I worked Paddlewheel last summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a cornucopia of jokes. This summer I am probably going to be at Six Flags New England as an area sup for the cyclone and blizzard river, flashback, etc.

Hey Eroll. When you have the best damn crew in the freaking park this year....then of course the thread is going to grow!

You all think you know what a crew party is?

You think you know what having fun everyday at work is?

You haven't seen anything yet. You all need to realize I come from the days when Mike Weber wore a boyscout uniform to work in camp snoopy. I come from the days when Gemini workers had to run out to the back station breaks to warn riders to brace themselves when the back breaks were going to stop them abruptly. (Of course that proceedure was canned when Dauber feel running out to the back breaks...almost fell on the track!) I come from the days when Shaun Hill, John Ballnik, Delee Sims, Aaron "Dauber" Daub, Joy "Smokey" Walicky, Bryan Thacker, DJ Kingsbury, Tuffguy, Matt Coddington, and me were all on Gemini. We were the last true Gemini Guys. Last season before crews became co-ed.

Listen...we knew how to have a good time and have an awesome reputation with mgt. and guests.

So I talked to Karrah today and I asked her if she knew who was on the crew so far, and she named about 4 other names besides us, but it was like, "there's a kid named Jacob, and this girl named whatever" type thing, so I guess we'll just have to wait until we (and they) get there to meet them.

I worked Paddlewheel years ago and it was a lot of fun. If you get a crew that's cool, that's half the battle. On midnight closes, we would do crazy things like park on the island and mess with the animation/leave signs for the opening crew, etc. One time, the boat floated away from the island and we had to swim for it. (the water is much deeper than you think!). If it gets boring, volunteer to sweep. One day when I worked an OC, swept for 2 hours, went back to Cedars and slept for 5 hours, then swept till close (and NO ONE noticed I was missing!). And beware of driving the boats! My first day, we were doing rescues and I ripped the smoke stack off the old Ogontz due to an overhanging tree!! For the rest of the summer I was known as "Captain Crunch"!

Hey fellow captains. Well, I process-in in less than 3 weeks. I can't wait!

Nichole - I have been doing some research for new jokes that have to do with the times. I am putting them together in a memo and sending them to Karrah to get Bob to approve as many of them as possible. It is time for some change in the PWE Spiel. Email me and I will send them to you!
