Opening Weekend '09

You guys are very lucky. According to the weather it is not supposed to rain once today. It says it is on the main page, but if you look hour by hour there is no rain. Have fun today!

The showers/tstorms should be kicked off to the east of Sandusky into Eastern Ohio and Western PA and then they'll be moving east, so it should be a 'good' day, albeit freezing cold (Is it really May? Ughhhh)

Gas is expensive, I will agree Vince. :) This coming from someone who has put 10,000 miles on his truck in the last 3-4 weeks.

I got my new car last week on Friday and have already put 1000km on it just because I love driving it. Monday will be another 500km. If everything goes my way I will go back to CP Tuesday with a different group of people. Nothing like the beginning of the season excitement.

I saw the pictures of frontier trail during the day that Jeff and Walt had posted. I have to admit that the lights for Starlight Experience do look a bit tacky during the day. It seems as if it will take away the ambience of FT. I hope the lights are not as noticeable in person.

So after all, it is just Christmas lights on trees and buildings.... I guess I won't judge until I see the finished product.

Yeah, it will probably look good at night. And the lights on the trees hopefully won't be that noticeable in person. I bet that kids will love it.

The lights are a bit noticable, but really only if you are looking for them! But the ones that I don't like during the day are the icicle lights on some of the buildings.

They're awesome at night, I dont care what anyone says. But if they bother you THAT much just for being on the trees during the day.....you need to go somewhere else. Saying it ruins the ambiance of the trail during the day is beyond me.

Other than that, had a great weekend seeing and hanging out with everyone. A bit crowded and slow operations, but all is well when your with a fun group of friends.

Whoaa, I havn't even been to Cedar Point this year yet, so chill out. lol. I said it "seems like it would." My next post down I mentioned how kids will love it, and it probably won't be that noticeable.

All I meant to say is that when I walk though Fronteir town, it feels like I'm in a different place and time...and I like that about it. I hope the lights during the day, won't take that away. I probably wouldn't notice them anyway though. Because when I am at CP, I am there to enjoy my time. Not scutinize every detail.

So for your sake Adam, and Cedar Point's who put a lot of time, money and effort into Starlight Experience, I think it is awesome too. :)

Sorry, I'm tired and cranky from a somewhat aggravating opening weekend. Don't take me serious.:D

Well his ride acted up all weekend so my guess is that he spent way too much time waiting in line for it to open...

^Me too! That tunnel was very appealling in the rain but rules are rules, but the test seat was good too! Actually 4.5+1 for being taken off of the best ride of my life in the red train becasue the elimination of the 3rd row and waiting for the second row to finish my ride.
