Opening Weekend '09

For Platinum Pass ERT on Opening Day is the main gate easier to get through or is the marina gate easier? I was wondering since I got my pass processed at GL, if I need to do anything special or can I just enter at any turnstile? If I go through the Marina Gate is there a special turnstile for ERT or do you have to wait in line?

I myself like secret entrance #3. ;)

It all depends on what you want to ride for ERT.. to what gate you should go in.

The Front Gate is for Raptor. The Marina Gate is good for getting to Millennium. And the "secret" gate is good for Maverick.

NAM is clearing all precip out of Sandusky by 21Z (5pm) on Saturday. Sunday looks good.

I think I will be going to take a little walk to the Marina Gate for Opening Day! I just hope the turnstile accepts my pass from Geauga Lake! I will probably run to Millennium then wait for the first ride on Mantis or Twister.

From what I'm seeing from the 06Z (2AM) runs of the models is that the rain will clear out pretty quickly after the front passes. My guess is the worst rain will be from 8AM - 3PM tomorrow... after that it should start to clear out. I wonder if they will even be able to run Magnum in the morning for it's auction riders....

Bah.. change in plans for me. I'm meeting a friend in Toledo tonight and staying at her place, so I sadly can't make the Challenge Park meeting tonight. But I'll be there bright and early tomorrow at the Marina entrance. If anyone sees me feel free to say hi. I'm really tall and I look like... well.. you know ;)

Well I will be hitting up Maverick first thing then I am going to head over to MF. So I will see you sometime during the ERT.

I will also probably get one or 2 Maverick rides during ERT and then head to MF... unless the rain has everything closed...

I'll be there around 7ish Saturday evening so it can rain all day up until 4:30 or so, I'll be at work. :)

I hope you guys are having/had fun at Challenge Park. I’ll be driving up tomorrow from Dayton. Not sure when I’ll get to the park but that may depend on when the rain stops. Perhaps I’ll run into some you I met last year on opening day and again this year at Kings Island opening day. Thanks for discovering the single rider line on Diamondback, which help me get more rides than expected that evening.

You guys are making me jealous. I wish I could be there.:(

I have to wait till Monday like a sucker. I guess I'll be making overtime while you guys are enjoying Opening Day festivities. Oh well, gotta make the big bucks to make car payments and feed this expensive hobby.

I'm leaving soon. I decided to be lazy today and get out of bed when I felt like it and head down.

Yes the coke does get expensive, but with the 20% exchange rate and a tank of gas each trip Cedar Point costs add up too. Put those two together and I don't know what you get, but it's good. ;)
