Opening Weekend '09

I was over it before any of you! I was so over it I threw them away!:)

I will be there for Opening Day. That's a Promise! I've been waiting all winter for the Thrills of Cedar Point.

Ok folks, I'm in... actually we're in! The wife and I will be in Sandusky (aka San-dubai) from Fri night till Sun Evening. We will be have a cabin at Bayshore and are looking forward to hanging out with y'all again!

And for the record.... I don't have my buzzer button anymore ;)

Bah, it was a failed idea anyway. A button is too much of a hassle to keep making sure it doesn't fall off on a ride or something. My true idea would have been a nice short sleeve polo with a kickbutt design and screen name tags. Now that would look professional!:)

I also came across another awesome coaster fan site shirt idea while at Kings Island opening day. The person in question had a plain white tee with duck tape on his chest that had the site and his screen name on it. Talk about classy!!;)

Now if the duct tape would have been screen printed on the back with the site name, that actually would have been cool.

Sadly it was just real duct tape with the site and screen name in sharpie....

Can't we just get some matching Coaster Pants?

I just hope the weather cooperates enough to don some coaster pants. I don't want to have to bring jeans or something and ruin the fun.

Why don't we have our screen name shaved on the back of the head? And on one side, the word "Point" and on the other side the word "Buzz"?

Grand prize is a home theater system valued at $1,900 dollars. Not bad. I can already pick out a few of them. :)

Starting to watch the early weather patterns for next week.... Looks like there should be a nice warm up some point late week, with a cold front moving through and some possible strong storms, before cooling back into the 60s. Now, its still 10 days or so out so things can change, but I'm just looking at patterns now.

Hopefully we won't have a complete Sunday washout like last year. Although I will say that was pretty awesome, since the park was completely empty.... you just had to be willing to wear raingear, and catch rides between the showers.

The opening weekend schedule is now up!

Looks like some great events. I really want to see the Magnum Ceremony. Sounds kinda cool and I really want to see Mr. Kinzel.

I will hopefully be there with my sis! :) Didn't think we were going to beable to make it...but it is looking like a better possibility now.

^^I like the skydiver bringing in the flag, and the Magnum ceremony sounds pretty cool. Can't go wrong with free ice cream :) But I couldn't care less about the other stuff...

^^^^That was indeed a TON of fun. I always have my rain gear in my trunk just in case. I wouldn't mind weekend crowds similar to last years.

They may be having free ice cream.... but the cake is a lie....

^^Precisely. That Sunday was an amazing day, despite having rain-soaked jeans and shoes. Although MF did some damage to my poncho so I'll have to buy another if nature calls for it.

I love the "machine gun" sound of ponchos on Millennium Force.... it's just a terrible thing to be behind someone who is wearing one.
