I honestly don't care what you have to say about me and I hate to tell you this I am a firefighter.

Some one help me i'm in denial about Project 2003.

Good for you. Hopefully you have a better attitude with people on your job that you have here. Heck, one time a persons house you are trying to put out may have cracked a donut joke about a cop. Are you going to let them or their kids go up in flames because of it?

When I posted what I did, I posted it hoping that CP really does read this board and that it would help them make their cops better in the long run. With threats of terrorism and what not these days, the police there need to be on their toes constantly and never, ever look at their job in an un-serious manner

Everyone is different. I've worked with the general public for years and ran security teams. Different scenarios can sometimes be or escalate into a worse situation, if not handled properly...everytime I've seen their security dealing with something, they seem right on to me.
No i'm not but I do get offened when you call cops rent-a-cops. But at my job I do my job this is just a hobby. And I only get mad when people show now respect for police officers even if most of them are seasonal. I think its kinda sick of you to think that I would even think about that. I don't understand why you would get so mad over something some person on the internet has to say. Seriously it as sad as someone one talking **** because the won a game of internet pool. Now to your second half of your post ok thats understandable and i'm sorry you had such bad luck with them. And yes CP does read these post. But I would have to say if you had such a big problem with the CP police why not bring it up to cedar point in person instead of a forum and waste space.

Well,I'm glad to hear all of these positive things about them. It will help restore my faith in them. There just seem to be a few in the batch then that just want to walk the beat, get a check, and go home. I guess it's like that anywhere you go with any job though, oh well..
There is always a bad batch somewhere.

If you don't like what i implied, you should't have said it then coaster runner. You are the one who said if something happened to me, you would laugh. If you can't accept that there may be a few on their force with a rent a cop atitude, that's a problem of yours, this can be said of any employee working anywhere, there are always a few bad apples in the batch, it just so happens that those are the ones I had experiece with. So, can we please get back to pleasantries now? We have both spoken our pieces and things are all sweet and peachy now.

I also that before I KNEW why you posted it if i would have known why you posted that they were like that I wouldn't have cared because you had a good reasoning.

Eh,I guess I could have been clearer in my posting about where I was coming from, you had no way of knowing what I was talking about or if I really was some donut eating joke dope. I really do hope that our exchange was for the best though, if it weeds out even 1 cop there with the rent a cop attitude,it is for the best,it could save a life one day.
As I used to say in the URC days, let's look at this post in slowwwwww motion.

Hmmm. Do you have this much misfortune every day or do you only get your butt kicked when you visit vacation resorts?

My folks lived in Da 'hood for 30 years and their bad luck over that time added up to a half-dozen of your CP trips alone.

Could just be me...but something smells like Farmer Carver's northern 40 after plantin' time.

Seeing as I am an EMT in training and work around professional law enforcement....

Just a silly question: Why would someone training to be an EMT--or even interested in such a career--neglect to have their sig other bring their Ventolin/Albuterol/what have you to a place the size of CP? After all, stress or excitement (i.e. the 'tension' we seek on coasters) can trigger an attack just as quickly as airborne irritants.

And check this gem out...

when my wife was having an asthma attack...(in the) Raptor line told me to take her to the first aid center, when I asked about the smoke free environment rule

Why does it seem losing your place in line to take her to first aid upset you so? A kid's last minute potty break might tick me off, but a breathing problem? I wouldn't be asking about rules--I'd be hauling my wife or child off to get help. Screw the ride. Sorry to sound crass, but you make yourself sound like A1 relationship material there.

If you brought up a list of complaints at the outset, I mightta believed you. As it stands, I believe Farmer Carver would like to buy your story just before alfalfa season.

LiveEdavid...where do you think I got the quote?! :) I love that movie as well. There are so many quotes you can say out of the blue, and the people that have seen it will start laughing about it right away. The same thing with SNL Jeopardy...:)

...Denial is an ugly thing.

Does anyone have any links to photos of line jumpers, smokers or security personnel? (just thought I'd try to stay on topic. LOL!!!)

A quote from the "Playa" from the "Hood"

First off,you should mind your own f***ing business when it comes to my family.

Just to makes things easier for you to understand since you seem to be slloooowww ,she had Albuterol with her and it was ineffective in the heat that day,the smoke compounded the condition. When we left the line to leave the park,I told the cop and he blew me off. We ended up at the medical center (not the CP one) with a continuous treatment to finally get her to stop wheezing. I never said I was mad about leaving the line.

When you are a season pass holder for the past 10 years, you tend to go to the point a little more than most people, like yourself, and like anything else, the more you go somewhere or do something, the more of a chance eventually you will have a problem.Maybe you and farmer carver should head back to your patch for whatever you are growing.

I, the Park Owner am announcing that we are tearing down the millennium force for the photo- booth of the new ride. And the new ride is too scary so it will be towrn down.
Do I bat 1000 with the Theory of Nobody or what? Is the little profane tantrum thoroughly predictable or isn't it?

Almost as much as the continued pandering for pity. Except a rush to the medical center (if real) would have been the first thing I woulda brought up, not the last. I sure wouldn't be stopping to whine at the police if one of mine was gasping for air.

And I speak of this from considerable experience. While I've been a passholder for 8 years, I live only 20 minutes away from my local park. During major attraction years, I might stop by for a visit as brief as a half-hour two to three times a week at the end of a Student day if I'm driving past to stop by the in-laws.

More importantly, I've had to accomodate other people's needs on jsut about every trip. Asthma isn't an issue every visit but diapers sure were when CMidget was a little Munchkin. So was taking a couple hours off for nappy time or leaving for the day when someone got cranky. For 3-4 of those years, many of those visits were without coaster riding as at least one of the tykes was too short. That's just part of what you do for your peeps.

Somehow, through all of these visits--1-5 times a week all summer, year after year--I've never had all this tragedy. Nor have I felt the need to disparage any security officer for doing their duty.

Maybe you don't realize it, but the only person you're putting down is yourself. Don't dig a deeper hole.

Playa, why is it so hard for you to imagine someone having ****ty luck? Second of all, since when does every story told on this board have to have every detail involved in it, unless of course it's about the new ride :). So Jedi didn't feel like he had to explain the entire situation for everyone as he didn't really figure it was of anyones business. Then when the time came that he needed to explain he did. Why do you have such a hard time believing that. Just because you haven't had many bad experiences at/with the park doesn't mean others haven't ran into ****ty luck. Accept that not everyones life is the same is yours.

Just for the record, I'm fulling expecting a reply from playa flaming on me. I hope he can just let it be, but I guess we'll see.

Peace I'm Out
