Also, for those of you wondering, if you're a platinum pass holder you DO get free parking today. You just have to get it validated at the Season Pass Center.
Well that blows. I asked the lady at the toll booth if we got free parking with a platinum pass and she said "No, it is a private event." I then chopped off an arm and a leg and gave them to her...
OSU day was awesome. Not a huge crowd, and the crowd that was present left by 7 PM. We rode every coaster in the park except for Jr. Gemini (too tall) and Mantis (never opened). Some we marathoned. Great day.
Let's Get Weird.
Looks like good weather today for OSU day at the park! A little windy, but that’s supposed to die down.
Reminder, the park is open to all, not just OSU students and alumni (however passes do not work today, admission is separate).

I was wondering what the wind speeds would have to be for SV to not be running. It looks like it currently is not operating via webcams.
I checked in on the webcams and the only thing I have seen running is Rougarou, Giant Wheel and Skyhawk.
NOAA expects West wind from 30-40 and hats to 50. Doubt many coasters can operate in those conditions. Hopefully it dies down later.
SV has been having problems at the preview events so it could be down mechanically. But if winds are gusting up to 50, I doubt many coasters can run.

Cedar Point just posted on Facebook that all Ohio State Day tickets will be good any operating day from now until Labor Day for a make up day.
Good to see they will be making everyone whole.
Going on a windy day is never good.
Most rides closed due to the wind issue.
Been there once on a windy day thinking no one would be there, the place was still crowded, only a few rides open so the rides with the few lines open had massive long lines.
