Not Fair

Usually, when someone quits they are made a conditional rehire. If you were made a no-rehire then it's possible there were other problems with your performance. FYI- if you contact them about your no-rehire they will tell you that CP has a policy (new as of 2002) of not changing status for at least one season.. so you won't be eligible to have it changed for this season... and then, in 2005, they will have you write a letter explaining why you had the problems you had and why you think it would be different next time.

um, cp pays ALOT more than $5k on training everyone. Per person would probably be about a grand... most of which is hours worked by ppl involved.

A career job, which your sup was most likely referring to... $5k per person easily.

Not meaning to downplay the importance of anything. Any employee who quits became a liablilty, regardless of the reason.

Think you got your hopes up, thinking they'd take you back. Tough lesson to learn, eh.

I was only 3 weeks into the season when I quit. I didn't even process out. I was able to apply again.

It still could come back to haunt you.. you'll be listed as a conditional rehire.. and when the hiring managers check with your old manager to find out why they may not want to take a chance on someone who only hung around 3 weeks.

Hey, they can always reconsider your application. I called them in Febuary and they told me that I wouldn't be rehired and then I called the other day and I am now back, so you really never know.
