A) We dont know that WWL's days are numbered...i wouldnt jump the gun on that.
I dont think Corkscrew is in any danger at all. They just added seat belts...but the main reason is the midway. Corkscrew is known to be one of the most photographed coasters in the world b/c of its placement in the park...how people walk right under the corkscrews....and it maintains good ridership.
I would say without a doubt that Disaster Transport could go. Even Kinzel admitted that its a horrible ride.
I also agree that WWL isn't necessarily set to be removed. All of that has been completely 100% enthusiast-based rumors. There is not necessarily ANY weight to the rumor, regardless of the attention or practicality of it.
I think Corckscrew is also pretty safe. It's a beautifully unique ride because of it's location. Although it's short, it's still very appealing to a lot of people, particular "noobies" who want to try a looper.
Also, if they ever did take out Corkscrew, it wouldn't really free up any space for them to do anything else. Unless it's giving them serious problems or has a serious accident, I don't see it going anywhere.
You all have good points. Corkscrew is a staple at the point. It shows up in all the commercials and pictures.
Disaster transport has go to go. First of all I really don't think it fits the area. You can see CP is trying to create a "Coney Isalnd" style area up there along the beach.
Blue Gemini Always Wins.
If you think Corkscrew is a staple at the Point then why did you just say that it's next to go?
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
This is just a list of probables (IMO), in order. I'm not saying they'll be taken out in consecutive years, but rather that this would be the probable order of removal.

^ Eventually, yes. Its not a famous ride, like the BS, unless you ask chiropractors of course. The cost of maintenance will continue to increase while ridership will stay relatively steady or possibly decline. Since it doesn't really have the same identity as BS, CS, Maggie, etc, it will come down - its just a question of when.

I definately think Disaster Transport between now and 2010 will be history. I think what will go in it's place would be Cyclone, and I talked about this in my topic which is now on page 2 Im sure. It would be cool to see a Hybird of Cyclone along the beach in Disaster Trasnports place. Someone bring post in that topic and give me your thoughts in it. It's called Cedar Point Classic Cyclone.
It's funny...I was at Halloweekends last week and we had just walked over to Maxair, and some little boy looked over at DT and asked his mom..."Whats THAT ugly thing?".
It just does not fit. Bravo for the attempt at Space Mountain...but it just does not fit. A woodie that runs along the coast would be gorgeous.
I think they should taer down Millennium Force because the line's too long and you can't bring your maXair cup in line.
I'm officially done reading this topic.

Exactly. It doesn't fit at all. A hybrid woodie would be just perfect running out and back next to the beach.
