Next Demolished/Razed rides

I don't think corkscrew will be removed anytime soon, not just from a record-standpoint, but it has become an icon on the Cedar point midway. Also..the land that it's on is so narrow that aside from a TA2K or another vertical-type ride, nothing will fit there.

Wait a minute?? A TA2K??? I just gave myself an idea!!
See you defeated your own argument. There is something better than Corkscrew that can go in that space.
I could see Cedar Point giving up on Wildcat soon.
The line is always long because of the few four passener cars. Personally, I don't get much of a thrill from this ride and it is not very enjoyable. With the fast stops Wildcat can be dangerous, maybe the most dangerous ride in the park. The question is...what so small could replace it?

As for Disaster Transport, I just can't believe it will be torn down just yet. I see Cedar Point transforming that area slowly. I think it's time for the Aquatic Games to go as well as the Staduim(any clue as to how many people see that show?). Schwabinchin(sp?) could get moved. Ocean Motion has been rumored to move as well. I hope the big boat stays put...it's in the perfect spot. But back to Disaster Transport. It DOES get many riders expeccially in the rain and hot weather.

Don't let life fly by.
I see why they could move Schwabinchen. When I was at the park on a fairly busy day, there were only 4 people anywhere near the ride!

Milly Laps....uh ?
If anything it wouldn't suprise me if CP just relocates certain rides to make room, that would be the smart thing to do. I highly doubt CP will remove Wildcat. It's not a bad ride, it has some nice drops and a nice tight helix at the end. So what it has a low cappacity, but so do flat rides.

Oceana is probably the next thing to go. I belive the lease on it is up this year.

are yuou forgetting something Wildcat counts as one of the 14 coasters!!!!!!!!!!!! Duh
Um so cpfreak2 they could remove it still. We have discussed it before while it is a great marketing tool CP is not all too worried about getting the record back it would be great it they did but, I don't think the will for a long time. I see them relocating a few rides for next year or I could be wrong lol....

"You wouldn't beleive me if I told you!"

If they removed Snoopy's playground, they could put in a miniature golf course and a giant slide.

LOL harley. I remember that giant slide! Removing the Corkscrew wouldn't be a good idea becuase it's the perfect "Jr. looper" for the kids that want to start going upside down.

LMAO harley, why don't they think of such great ideas? I loved the slide, went on it every year, but I never did play the mini golf because (as I recall, possibly incorrectly) you had to pay extra for it. Something like $5, wasn't it?

Ah, the giant slide. Always loved riding that. That long, hot wait as you climbed the stairs. That smelly bag to ride on. Speeding down the slide. Heaven!
Hey gang. I have heard tons and tons of rumors about the park getting rid of the stadium, and I went to watch Splash 2001 yesterday. It was the first time that I have ever seen the show, and I was amazed at the number of people that actualy attended! The rest of the area seemed pretty quiet. After watching Splash 2001 and seeing the number of people who were there, (it was good to see families there laughing and enjoying the show), I think the if the park were to get rid of the Stadium (as many, many rumors say), that would be a big mistake. I agree that the area needs so major development, but after seeing the number of people who enjoyed Splash, I don't think the Stadium has to go. (It's funny because before yesterday, I was all for the park getting rid of it)...

mikey :)
