Nope. Payroll for several years, and lastly, a Buyer.
JCI is not buying anything right now. Research them. Stock price up over $6.00 a share yesterday! And that's probably just because they eliminated me. ;)

lol!
Well, I'll keep my ear to the ground and let ya know if anything pops up on the job front.
Brandon
I'm enjoying retirement for now and focusing on my duties as Mayor of Lighthouse Point, which include a visit in a few weeks.

It is my opinion that like last year, the spring will be rough, and prices should moderate into the summer.

I just can't understand what is going on with the commodities prices, because it doesn't make any sense. They're bidding up the price as though they are facing a shortage...WHEN THERE IS NO SHORTAGE. We're seeing the response to a supply disruption when there is only the *remote possibility of* a supply disruption...no actual disruption at all.
I become more convinced all the time that the biggest problem is that the commodities traders who are ultimately setting the price for crude oil have not got the slightest idea what it is they are buying. I just wonder when their collective ignorance is going to cause the bottom to drop out of the market and them to all lose their shirts...

Ben--
I am impressed that you admit that you go to a Lion's game! ;)

Spending time at Applebees after Closing Day with Steph, Scotty, Jason, Ralph, Ben, Betsy, Tony, Brandon, and Tami: PRICELESS
The Lion's have arguably the best fans in the NFL. Year after year, loss after loss, the stadium gets filled - which is probably why the ownership has been so apathetic. Why try harder when you're selling tickets without winning?

On Tuesday (when gas was at $2.69 and not $2.90) it cost me $35 for just under 13 gallons. Just three years ago I used to be able to fill the 25 gallon tank on my old '83 Chevy Caprice for $30. Now I'm paying $5 more for roughly half the amount of product. That's just wrong. I won't go into my opinions on the oil companies, as they aren't fit for a family friendly forum.
For my average CP trip this year (assuming I don't leave the park and drive all over Sandusky taking friends who work there on Wal-Mart runs) it should take 6- 7 gallons of gas, which is looking to be $18-$21. Looks like I'm going to need som extra hours at work this summer.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
What is funny is the north central ohio area has one of the highest gas prices around. Usually if you go west or east around 30 or so miles it will be a bit cheaper. For example the I-280 exit in toledo on the Turnpike. That is always 20-30 cents cheaper then here. In my opinion it boils down to the fact that the sandusky area is a tourist attraction, people have to get gas, so they will charge a premium for it. If CP and the water resorts were not there, thus there being no attractions, I suspect gas would be a bit cheaper in this area.

This site is your friend (as is this one for us metro Detroiters). I've also recently purchased a membership at Costco, which saves about $0.10-$0.15 per gallon, and is well worth the $45/year membership fee, provided you use more than 10 gallons per week.

I count my lucky stars that I only have to pay $25 to get to CP and back (yesturdays trip for season passes was the test to see how much I would have to put in). The car I have has been through allot (1995 Ford Probe) and after the immense costs we've put into fixing it (because it was running like a piece of crap), it's finally proving to be worthy.

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
Gas always seems to be about 10 cents cheaper in Bellevue than in Sandusky. I get great gas mileage (about 20 city and 30 highway) so it doesn't take much for a CP trip.

2002-2007 - Season Pass
My fill up was $80.00 last night & it takes more than a tank to go to CP & back (and run around a bit while we're there). I think I'm gonna buy a Yugo :-) or at least learn how to ride a motorcycle. This is just crazy!
As RideMan said above, it is abosulely ridiciously what is going on right now with gas prices. All the market forcasters keep on speculating about higher prices of this, higher prices of that, Iran, Iraq, hurricane, hurricane katrina from last year, it rained this morning...I could go on and on. While the gas companies sit there and abosutely love it, keep on spectulating and we'll make the speculation come true by raising prices! If the high prices right now are from speculation, what happens if there is a hurricane or something does actually happen with Iran? Can we expect 4 dollars a gallon?
Its also amazing how in the fall gas went up for Katrina, in the Winter they stayed relatively high because of oil being used to heat houses, and now there up for the summer driving season. There is always a reason, no matter what.
What pushed me over the edge is when I learned last week that the Exxon Mobile chairman received over 65 million dollars last year in total. 65 million dollars!!! That is a MF and Top Thrill Dagster, plus Magnum all in my back yard with money to spare!!! Plus he received over $400 million in about the most generous retirement package in history. But who is really paying for it, me and you, the everyday average consumer. I refuse to fill up at Exxon Mobile, not that I am telling you guys to do the same...
And just remember when you are paying the $3+ at the station that next year, the country of Brazil, will be completely mideast oil independent. Thats right, a country not even close in technology compared to the United States will not use one drop of mideast oil, why? Because back in the 1970's, their government mandated that all cars be able to run on Ethanol, and ethanol is made from sugar and Brazil is one of the biggest sugar exporters in the world. So just remember that our friends in Washington chose the oil and big business over what was sane and correct.
As Hooper said, if your on the way to or from cp on the turnpike and are going to pass I-280, they usually have the best gas prices around in Toledo. The Flying J has anywhere from $.20 to even $.50 cheaper.

And that about sums it up right there. Well said.

Looks like I wont be bringing my GNX to the park this year.. it gets 6-7 city 12-13 highway...
Luckily my main mode of transpo gets EPA 34 highway but 36-38 real life... *** Edited 4/20/2006 6:28:22 PM UTC by Coastern3rd***
