I followed your link and it says 9 days.
I think I have a solution though.
Take a post-it note, and write "9 days" on it. in about inch high lettering. Cut it out. As Snoopy flies across the screen, hold up the post-it in front of where it says "Today". You'll have to repeat this process each day. ;)
*Edit* I used right instead of write. *** Edited 8/29/2006 3:47:28 PM UTC by JuggaLotus***

I opened a new window for the internet. The new window shows 9 days. I refreshed the old window and it still says today. They are both on my screen. Man am I confused. I don't know which is correct. They both show the same address. I hope I didn't cause too much excitement.
Nope, it didn´t. But it doesn´t really matter what it reads on your screen. Because it WILL be announced in 9 days.

You didn't. You probably have a caching issue. Your first browser is saying "This is what I just viewed" so rather than waiting for a new version from the site, it is just displaying to you what it has in memory.

I think it would've been hysterical if Snoopy had started in the back of the park and then flown up around front so you could read it. :)
I don't know much about computers so, I don't know what is going on. However, it really said (says) Today. I was shocked. I had no intention of posting on this subject until I read all of the replies and surprisingly nobody had mentioned it. So I posted. My friend here saw "Today" also. I checked everything before posting so I wouldn't stir up a hornets nest and it happened anyway. Sorry.
Perhaps they were testing the banner to make sure it will display properly on the announcement day (since they know that the formula (date-today=9) works for a result of zero), and you happened to get onto the site at that exact moment, and your browser cached it. Then, as Jugga said, your browser is running off the existing cache rather than updating it.
Maybe that's it. I don't know but, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm more disapointed than the rest of you. Not only aren't we getting an announcement today, now many of you think I'm a jerk. Sorry again.
No one thinks you're a jerk. If its still on your screen though, just press "Ctrl" + "Print Screen" and then paste whatever you get into Photoshop or MS Paint. Then you'll have a copy of what it says.
djD is right though. They were most likely testing the banner and you happened to grab it just at that second.
Nobody thinks you're a jerk. I'm sure most here truly believe you regarding what you saw. No harm, no foul. Jerk.
;)
It figures they’d announce it a day after I go back to school. At least I'll be up early enough to check up on the announcement.:)
Just think, in 9 days all this nonstop posting of useless topics of what it might be and so on will end.......giving way to the pandemonium that will follow the announcement.:)
Are you prepared for it Walt?;)

Yeah, then the speculation will turn into conspiracy theorists, claiming this whole thing is just a big cover-up and what not. ;)

ha ha ha ha!! Yeah. I can just hear the people saying "They only announced some of what's new for 2007, not ALL of it. They're not going to announce the other rides because they can build them in secret!"
Ah, I see you guys have been here before. :)
It would be hysterical if Cedar Point simply said this on Sept 7:
yes, what you see in the back of the park is in fact a rollercoaster...the secret's out..
in relation to the marketing rep who was interviewed a while back..he couldn't confirm if it was a new ride or coaster..
