News: Cedar Point to announce 2007 project on September 7

The nationals won't pick it up until a local station has it. If a Cleveland station sends a SAT truck, their respective network can "Cherrypick" the SAT feed from the truck to the station, as it take it in to their Regional newsroom as well.

If the local stations send Microwave trucks, which they may because Microwave Sandusky to Cleveland is an easy shot, the networks can't pick it up until the station feeds it out.

Of course, 2 days before my birthday. I should have known they'd plan it that way. Thanks Cedar Point!!

But really, I am pumped for the announcement. But I'm gonna be antsy that entire day at school until I can get home and see the announcement.

As of 11am the banner on the Cedar Point site says "The Secret's Out Today!" Not September 7.

As of 11:16, it stills says 9 days

I clicked on the Cedar Point link about the announcement and the banner said Today. I looked at it 4 times before I wrote my message. It still says Today, I just checked.

It is 9 days guys he just wanted to see how many people he can get to correct him.

Better yet tell us where the link for the 2007 announcment is on their site. HaHa ;)

I´m also pumped for the announcement. After the announcement, I wonder how long time it takes, before we can expect them to have an animation of the ride on their website? Morning, afternoon, next day?

I'm telling you folks it says Today on my computer. I keep looking at it because I couldn't believe it myself. I just checked today in the park and it says today is August 29 so that is correct. I'm not here to post things just for attention. That's why I checked 4 times before I posted.

Ken - the Animation is probably done (or very nearly so). They'll have it linked within hours of the announcement. Of course no one will be able to see it because their site will be pointbuzzed (the coaster enthusiast equivalent of being slash-dotted).

They will likely roll-out the majority of the web updates within minutes of the actual announcement. It's possible they'll add more throughout the day, but not likely.
