Why doesnt somebody just drive down there and look and take pictures to see if theres anything else going on.
Because jail sucks.
What would suck even worse is getting thrown in jail after realizing that there is nothing to see that can really give any indication as to what this attraction will be.

I wasnt talking about going into the park I was talking about driving around the road that goes around the park.
Right. I am fairly certain that road is wholly owned by CP, making any unauthorized use of it considered to be trespassing.
Furthermore, I'm even more certain that taking pictures of the site would not be wise. Unless you rent some type of aircraft, of course. ;)
Brandon
Pictures can be taken, provided you take them from off CP property. You could always take a boat right up to there (provided there aren't any markers or anything) and take pictures. Just wouldn't be able to go on shore to get your photos.
And DJ you are right, the road is a private road, owned, operated and maintained by Cedar Fair.

I've drove down that road when I get my season passes just to take some photos.
We always take a day in April to go get our passes and make a day of it, we fully drove that rode over to the Soak City area last year and no one said anything, and I was stopping and taking pictures the entire time and seen plenty of employee vehicles.
Now maybe this would be a different story since they're actually building something, but from experience they don't care.
It would probably depend on how you do it, and what kind of attitude you get if you get stopped. Management could shut that road down at any time. But you're right, probably most of the time they don't care, as long as you don't go through any barriers or cause any problems.

Until you get to The Campgrounds / Soak City Parking lot, there is nowhere that you are alowed to stop on Perimeter rd. So and pictures would need to be taken while driving by.

Hey - if anyone here is brave enough, I say more power to ya'! Let it be noted that I (and I'm sure a few others here) don't recommend it, as the consequences can be quite severe. Such as: not being allowed back onto Cedar Point property! And while I'm sure the likelihood of that happening is slim, its a pretty harsh outcome, considering you'd probably not learn too much about the site anywho.

I'll have my grandpa do it, he'll pretend that he just got lost.
All my life I've been an obese man trapped inside a fat man's body
Hey now.
Just because they've reinstated the senior ticket price, don't assume Cedar Point officials will be nice to Grandpa just because he's old.
They can take that discount right back.
;)
It's too bad I can't convince my friend's dad to go for a cruise in his airplane. If there's anything extensive done as far as footers go, you'd probably be able to get a decent idea of the layout, although I'd bet they don't have a whole lot just just yet.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

Or make it seem like you're experiencing car trouble so you can stop.:)
Anyway, I think I'll take a drive down to the WWL area when I go to get my SP. Just as long as it's not against any rules.
::sigh:: Only 45 more days.

Just wait the month and a half. You'll probably see as much then (or less, or more) as now.
Now someone in a plane...

With all of this talk of intentionally trespassing, I wonder how much they are going to beef up security when people start processing their season passes...

All you have to do is shoot right across Sandusky Bay,drop anchor on the wwl side and snap all the pictures you wanted, there is nothing illegal about that and you wouldn't be trespassing either.I would do it but I can't justify pulling my boat from Tennessee all the way up there just to see what's going on,and not get to play for two or three day's.
Take a look at Funcoast and look at all the activity going on at the WWL site!! Lots of machinery moving around!
I can make out an excavator close to the service enterance by Mean Streak(close to the midway) really going at the ground, or whatever its doing, but I can't make out the other machinery.
It's not too exciting but it shows that they're really not wasting time on this thing.

You have to really look good. I can still see 2 excavators. But they're not moving.
And what exactly are you implying Jason?
