Currently, Paramount's Kings Dominion offers two tier Season passes. Regular and Gold. The only advantage that Gold passes have over regular season passes was a preferred parking area and occasional early entry into the theme park and water park on select dates. I believe some of the other Paramount parks have a Platinum pass.
ALL of Kings Dominion season passes are good for all other Paramount parks. You simply go to a sister park and present your season pass at guest relations and they would give you a ticket for entry. (At your home park you would have your bar code scanned at the entrance). I quess Paramount never linked the individual park computer systems together. Paramount has always offered free entry to all of their parks as a season pass perk. I think it was because the Paramount parks are so far apart that if you made it to an area with a paramount park they gave you an opportunity to visit for free.
Parking is extra, the price was dependent on when you bought the pass. If you purchase parking, PKD scans the bar code on your season pass to enter it into another database for parking. You used to have to buy the parking option at the time you had your season pass made because they would physically add the word "Parking" to your pass. Before that, they would place a small parking sticker on your pass. Kings Dominion has never had a totally separate parking sticker for your car.
The best time to buy a season pass for Kings Dominion was in the fall of the previous operating season. For example, if you bought your 2006 season pass in the fall of 2005, the pass was about 20-30 dollars cheaper than the current price and they included free parking for all of 2006. Plus your pass was good for the remainder of the 2005 operating season.
Does anyone know what is going to happen with Terra Mitca? It is/was a Paramount Park, but I don't recall anything about a European park being mentioned in any of the conference calls or news stories.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I thought Paramount was contracted to manage this park and I think the contract was terminated by the owner of Terra Mitca. I don't think the owner was happy with Paramount management. I'm not sure of the exact reason(s).
I believe someone in an earlier post was talking about Busch Gardens season passes. Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Europe (formerly BG, Williamsburg, and before that BG, The Olde Country) are about 1 1/2 hours apart.
Busch has a 3 tier season pass system, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Silver is for one park only for one operating season. Either for BGE or Busch's Water Country USA (Separate gate water park. The water park is about 2 miles from BGE theme park.) This includes general parking and a 10% discount at most shops and restaurants.
Gold pass is for both BGE and WCUSA for one operating season. This includes general parking and a 10% discount at most shops and restaurants. You get a 50% discount off admission to Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, Fl, Adventure Island, (the separate gated water park in Tampa), Seasame Place in PA, and all Sea World parks. $150 for individual pass.
Platinum Pass is good for admission to ALL Busch Entertainment properties, (see above), for 2 years. preferred parking, and a 10% discount at most shops and restaurants. Its the "Hummer" of Busch season passes and carries a "Hummer" price. A family pack of 4 Platinum passes was about $840. (Pay full price for 3 and get 1 free). Single pass is about $280.
Current Kings Dominion season pass prices:
Buy 2 or more passes $84.99 (parking not included)
Individual pass $99.99 (parking not included)
Parking add-on $29.99
I don't see anything about the Gold Season Passes. I assume they stopped selling those a few weeks ago. You can get a 10% in-park discount by purchasing Scooby dollars ($9 for 10 Scooby Dollars). They can be used anywhere at PKD. Personally, I would prefer the park to just scan your season pass at the restaurant or gift shop regsister to get the discount (like BGE).
Prices are reflective as of 5/31/2006 on BGE and PKD web sites.
