They are way better than some kind of concrete or pavement in that area.

I was there on sunday to get my pass done and there was at least a dozen pallets of pavers sitting on the side of the entrance. I think its going to look great once they are done.

The new OnPoint shows off the peices to the new causeway sign. (unassembled)

The LED screen is pretty big. I can't really visuallize were the screen and large striped box is going. So I guess I have to wait till it's done.

I can't wait to see all this stuff on Opening Day. 18 days to go!

That sign looks big. Looks the same size of the Former Jacobs Field letters. I remember those letters were huge.

The Cedar Point and Snoopy look just like the ones at the end of the Causeway and Cleavland Road. I hope they change Snoopy for Halloweekends like they do the other one :)
Those LED signs are all over Perkins now so it will be interesting to see what they do with it. Of course having this down the Causeway it means that pretty much only traffic already going to CP will see it.

^Hence the "Welcome to Cedar Point"...

I think it'll look pretty good. Kind of tough to put it all together in your head. But only 2 1/2 weeks from now we'll see it in person :)

I really like how that sign is looking and am really happy to see them do something with a new fountain. I really liked the old one but sometimes when all of the spouts were not working it just looked kinda off.

I can't wait for the new season to begin! Got my first ever platinum pass so I can do as much visiting as possible.

This is going to be an awesome year for the park! Wicked Twister looks a little unpromising with the back spike not back up yet. Just have to wait and see if it'll be running opening day. The sign starting to look good. New pavers in the front also coming together nice! Blue Streak finally looks blue now! Glad to see that the oldest roller coaster in the park is still getting attention.

I'd imagine the LED screen will be affixed atop the striped tower with the "welcome to" part being above "Cedar Point" (like the blog said) to the left.

Much like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v175/Dragster420/cpsign.jpg

Interesting about Wicked Twister, I'm sure it'll be up and running, but I don't recall this piece missing last offseason.

The sign looks nice, similar to the one by Fridays.

It's nice to see the main entrance get spruced up, it always seemed like a rather plain entrance to a place like Cedar Point.

I really can't wait to see the fountain, and Blue Streak looks great too, and I'm sure many of us will be awaiting the new LED light show as well.

It's as if Cedar Point read my mind (or posts).

From my perspective, the improvements CP is making this year in and around the park are equal or better than a new coaster or thrill ride. I dont understand the complaints about "nothing new to bring me back" at all; there is so much new to look at.

Consider this lifer 100% satisfied.

Ditto that. The park needed these improvements this year more than a new ride, hands down (no pun intended).

So close, Adam. The LED screen will be attached ON the striped tower, about 3/4 of the way up, appearing to "hang off" of the left side. In fact, I think they may have done it after I left work today.

I'll snap a photo tomorrow if they did.

Darn, I really thought the same as Adam, too. But then again, this is why I don't draw out coaster layouts whenever footers are spotted at the park. Kudos to Adam for coming close.

It makes sense though, I would think the screen would be better secured in the middle rather than sitting on top.

Not sure if any of you caught this, but when I walked into the local Meijer store today they had one-day passes for just 25 bucks. I am used to seeing Kings Island at such a big discount, but not Cedar Point. I cannot remember a season when tickets were available for such a cheap price (in the distant past). What a bargain!

Darn, that was my second guess.:)
My reasoning is that I didn't notice any predrilled holes on the tower face for bolting the screen into. Though I guess that just means they were on the other side in the picture. Go figure....:P

Wow, that's a crazy good price! Are you sure that wasn't for a starlight ticket or something? That's a really steep discount for a full day ticket if that's really what they're going for.
