New this year

So how about we start a list as to what we know will be new this year. Maybe share your thoughts as to what you think will be coming. No wish lists!

Ok, so far we got...

New fountain on Main Midway

New wood on Gemini and Mean Streak

Maybe new track on MS as we saw in some pictures a few months ago

Something on the Magnum Midway (new bathrooms I'm surre)

Something new on the MF midway which is maybe a MF paint job

Something new on the Main Midway which is the new fountain and pavers

Probably some new trash cans as well. :) And I think we can scratch off the MF paint job...looks like Starlight was the addition there.

Starlight is supposed to start beyond the MF tunnel, which is not really in the direction of that picture.

OK, my bad - you're right. :)

Technically, the caption says "And another new improvement will be featured in this direction:" and that is the path on which Starlight will begin past the MF tunnel. Seeing as T&T are not always straightforward with what they are talking about, I was just putting 2 and 2 together, but I have been known to be bad with math before. :)

Forgot to add that we will most likely see a new sign for Magnum!

I guess we will just keep an eye out to see what happens next....

Well I for one think the S.E. sounds like a neat edition. I have never personally seen it in action, but after being witness to the LED paradise that is Dollywood during Christmas, I look forward to seeing how this operates.

I don't think this is the same type of led lighting that you are thinking of Kevinj.

Dollywood uses christmas led lights, cp is probaly going to use led par can lighting or something to that effect.

And can't wait to see starlight in action. Should be enjoyable.

Hey guess what this is a FAMILY attraction. I like the idea of the trail getting this attention, its nice peacful walk that will hopefully add some more character to the area.

New family attraction?
New water feature?
New sign for Magnum?
New monitors at queues displaying park information?

Sounds like somebody's been paying attention to Pointbuzz . . . :)

Everything sounds great! I can't wait to see the fountain and Starlight. heck I'm even excited for the LCD monitors at the turnstiles LOL! Cant wait only 38 days left!!

The one thing I don't get is that the new starlight show is not being advertised. There is no mention of it in the rack brochure (maybe in the Getaway Guide because it isn't out yet). But people are not going to find out until they get to the park. This may draw some new guests, more likely people will stay till closing or purchase starlight tickets.

I'm also wondering about this welcoming gate were the trail meets town.

OK, about the magnum sign, now everyone can finally calm down about the sign!! :)

For the fountain, I'm sure many people will be hanging around that, good eye catcher.

Starlight attraction, I hope they also focus on the "old fashioned" look to the trail, and bring out the old buildings with the lights.
