I'll buy energy drinks just out of celebration that BlueGreen is hopefully gone. This is THE best improvement to the Point this year.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
At Kings Island, the Bluegreen booth is now the other Snake Pit shop, a 3-sided merch joint selling Diamondback swag. Not to be confused with the Snake Pit joint right outside the Diamondback entrance which is a 3-sided food joint.
So far there has been no sign of the Bluegreen people at Kings Island, but the peak season has not yet begun. I'm hoping they are really GONE.

Hahhahahhaha, so they converted the pita sales people's booth over to an energy drink sales booth.
I would have much rather an import beer station.

Ride on, MrScott!
Imagine how much they would charge for a import beer. I would still buy one though if I really wanted a beer, and they had Newcastle.
I imagine the up-charge for energy drinks won't be that dissimilar from an imported beer up-charge.
Of course, last year we spent a good amount of time seeking out energy drinks, and so long as the price would've been realistic, we would've paid it. Given the popularity of these drinks, especially with the younger crowd, this is a good move. I'd pay $3-4 for an in-park Red Bull under certain circumstances (they go for $2-3 elsewhere, I believe).

Paid $6 bucks for a 8oz red bull at Copper Mountain this winter. Not something I'd typically do but it was 3pm and I'd been up since 3am and the combination of exhaustion, hunger, and thin air was causing me to make poor decisions.
Anything higher that $4 and I won't buy. Everything looks great thought, the fountain, front gate (I love the Magnum awning).
First rollback=opening weekend '09
I really love the brick in front of the park. It will go better with the fountain instead of the concrete. Does anyone think it might be bumpy with strollers, wheelchairs, etc.?
Paver's are everwhere. I think they'll be more of a pleasant sight than major concern.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I am kind of skipping back to the previous conversation here, but I do not care for Verizon. I have had it for 2 years now (fiance's choice), and I am always losing my signal.
It is really ironic that their commericals feature the "Can you hear me now?" line, because I am always using it.
I lose my signal driving down a certain road by my house. I lose it at both of my grandma's houses. I also lost it A LOT when I was living in Alabama. Not to mention driving through the mountains. I can never get a signal there.
I understand that all cell phones will lose signal. But when all of Verizon's commercials feature "No dead Zones", I expect no dead zones.
Before we had Verizon, we had Sprint. I had never once had a dropped call with their service. Unfortunately the fiance prefers Verizon.

I've had Verizon for about 6 years now, and I've never had a problem with weak signals or dropped calls. Only time I've lost a call was due to going into an elevator/tunnel/CP housing. Perhaps you just have bad luck or a problematic phone?
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Good riddance, Bluegreen!
TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(

Some good resources for anyone looking to chat about verizon phones and services. Just saying cause you might not know not cause I'm trying to be a moderator. For the record I loves my Omnia on Verizon with SPB Mobile Shell 3.0
I've been counting down the days until my contract with verizon ends. One month, they decided that my "IN" calls weren't free and my bill was over 400 dollars. After 3 phone calls they finally sorted it all out.

The only downside to Verizon is that there isn't an iPhone.
But everything I've been hearing says that will be changing either late this year or early next. I like my crackberry, but it doesn't hold a candle to my iTouch.
I'm still wondering if the Verizon exec who said no to the iPhone the first time still has a job. If he does, hopefully its in the janitorial department.
Goodbye MrScott

I will personally never use a carrier that uses cdma for their phones. I have tmobile with an iphone. The versatility of phones with sim cards is much better than a one trick phone that only works on one carrier due to the chips inside.

I worked for Verizon Wireless for a couple years as a technician and can tell you from personal experience that they don't care about their customers.
At least with AT&T if you have a problem or a billing issue they're willing to help. I've also never had any issues with reception on AT&T and had nothing but problems with Verizon.

Ralph, I don't think that it is an issue with my phone. It is an issue with the service provider. My phone isn't the fanciest, and I have never had any issues with the phone itself. But the crappy reception in certain areas is very annoying.
