It’s amazing what a steel plate in your skull and six or seven liters of warm beer can do to a man’s ability to remember the conductive properties of a metal hook. -Dr. Bactine, http://www.i-mockery.com/DoctorBactine/default.asp

I'm not hyping anything. Some people will say, "Wow! Cool!" Others will say, "That sucks, it's not the invertedfloorlessunderwatergigawoodie I wanted!"

I was wondering how they will announce the ride. Do they just call up websites or news things? Or put up a sign? Where do YOU find out to let out the info?

I, personally, hope that if it is like the Superman Ultimate Escape that it is a solid U as oppose to the twist because I think the twist in the track on the forward side ruined the free fall experience. I will say that the solid vertical backward side is fun the first time you go into it.

Many people on these boards seem to believe that it will be an impulse, and as a business stand point, it's a good decision. What better to put down your competition than the same type of coaster only bigger, faster, and better?
(sorry, just had to say it.)
I, however, think differently. I'm sticking with the Intamin Impulse theory, but at the same time sticking with the Boardwalk Project. Somewhere in this thread I found the idea of taking the Impulse coaster and painting it so it looks like a woodie. When I was in Disneyland almost two years ago, I could've sworn that they were building a wood coaster. It looked that realistic to me (of course, I wasn't a coaster enthusiast back then.) If they can do it at the Mouse... Human Trap, then they could definitely do it at the Point.
However, I shall also sit back and wait. Throwin' in my two and 1/2 cents...

I'm now thinking "impulse" If you look at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, the Superman Ultimate Escape has a "twist" in the track when you go forward. This could be the "twist" people are talking about. Also the "shock" I hear about (is it for this year or next?) could be the electricity needed to power it.

Well Gee, where have you been? It will NOT be anything like S:TE though, that ride is a distaster. I've been on it once, sure it was fun but the cost and everything, no If they were to build a launced ride it would be an impulse...
