New forums: READ THIS!

I had a question about the multiple-page threads.

After you post to one of these threads, the page loads back to the original. (1) If the thread is 4 pages long, is it possible for the browser to be taken back to the last page of the thread? (4)

Sure. It's possible. Is it something you want? ;)

Futuristic bow-wow... do the dog catcher!

How about an option to view all the pages of a multiple page thread at once?
Jeff, imo I say if they make a post it should display the page their post goes to.....

Also, maybe a change for the next version.....  Make it so that you can mark certain threads or subjects as read but not the entire board?  Just a thought....

Next trip to CP on August 25th - 26th!

I like CP_Bound's suggestion -- I always like to check what I've posted, because I'm paranoid about how it will look on the page, and it's much easier if after hitting "Submit reply" it would return to the page I'd posted, not the beginning of a multi-page thread. :)

putergeek: That is a good idea, but it would require a huge amount of extra processing. You would need your own record for each and every existing thread, and every update to a thread would require eveyone's "read" record to be updated every time. It wouldn't be hard to program, but it would kill performance.

CrystalKat: If you're using the plain post box (in Netscape, for example), you can click the preview button to see exactly what your finished post will look like before you post it.
