New for 2014

The new lighthouse point cabins opened up this past weekend right? Any word on how they look?

Probably just like the other ones, just newer.

It may have already been mentioned, but in case not, Lake Erie Eagles DOES have multi-colored LED lights. Was this just added recently? I thought people were saying before that the ride didn't have any lighting to speak of.

I don't know where people are posting this but I just want to say the Gemini Midway is looking very sharp, they did a great job and the Monster even looks great and not as pink as I imagined it would be! Yeah!

Does anyone know where the Eagles ride came from?

Straight from the factory. Larson International of Plainview Tx. is having great success with their new, updated version of the Flying Scooters.

Last night I noticed new LED lights on Pipe Scream. Nice!

^^ We wondered if it was a refurbished ride because it definitely looks painted over, you can see the chips under the new paint.

Is attendance way down this year? I seem to be getting daily e-mail from CP's marketing team with a different "limited time" / "last chance" / "holiday" offer literally every other day.

Doesn't seem like attendance is down to me, when I was there it seemed like pretty average June crowds from what I remember from previous seasons.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

It's probably down compared to last year but I doubt it's less than usual.

I don't see why it would be down other than the water main break. I remember last June being cool and rainy most of the month. This year is alot better. Maybe high gas prices are the culprit this year.

It maybe down comparatively. But remember, last year had a big draw due to GK, and this year KI debuted Banshee so there may be some crowd shift.

I've been wondering about the same promotions - seems kind of hitting alot for this early in the summer season but that may just be a perception.

You boneheads need to learn how to roll up the extension cord for the fluggegecheimen when you're done with it!

One of the promotions was due to the park being closed, and this one today could've been planned for some time, even before the park closed for the weekend.

I'm saying it's probably down compared to last year due to the lack of a brand-new $25 million coaster.

That's most likely it because there would be a crowd spike when there is a new coaster. I imagine KI's crowd spiked this year.

Remember that the bulk of attendance happens in July and August.
