New for 2006 - Skyhawk

Shawn, some of the concrete maybe re-use to repair parts of the midway but I doubt it. I believe they will hall off what they have torn up and then take it to a tumbler which will break the concrete into the required aggregate sizes. However, they may bring the machinary on-site.

Has anything new happened at the SkyHawk site this week? I haven't been able to see the cam during the day since Sunday.

To answer your question, Nothing major has happend on Skyhawks construction site since before thanksgiving. RIght now I'm looking at the webcam and I see them moving a bunch of dirt. And they still have peices of concrete from that Circle that held shrubs, trees, and flowers. I'm betting we have more concrete to pour and maybe we'll start to see Vertical Construction. That's always exciting to see.

Yes I know I'm not in school this semester because I decided to take a break, I shouldn't have though, it's starting to mess me up...lol. Don't worry I have friends that I hang out with. You know watching a web cam for a few minutes a day doesn't mean you don't have a life. I highly doubt he sits there all day looking at the web cam.

Back on topic, it seems we won't be seeing anything exciting on Skyhawk until January, huh?

I agree MilleniumMadMan, I don't think well see anything of any interest untill Janurary. It was mentioned that the SkyHawks parts weren't coming until Jan anyway. Compression Room....is that next to the taffy pulling room in the Wonka Factory?

I wonder if the control room will be anything more than the deer blind they used for maXair.

Looks like they dug the trench for the electrical line today that will power those massive compressors.

The maXair deer blind.....classic. lol :D

Though I don't get the Wonka Factory comment.......did I do or say something funny?

Well, it is S&S, so maybe instead of a "deer blind", it'll be like the "spaceship" found on Power Tower, lol.:)

Check out the new pics of Xtreme Swing....pretty cool. And if you look further down, you'll see a pic of the control both which is almost just like maXair's. So it might be the same for us.

Thanks Adam for those pictures. There is one picture like a couple rows down that shows a room inside the support. That's pretty neat! I knew the supports were going to be big, but I didn't realize they'd be that big.

Doesn't Power Tower have compressors too? I know that seems like a silly question, but I was wondering if Skyhawk was powered similar to Power Tower?

It isn't exact, but it's similar enough.

Didn't someone ask if both arms had to swing at the same time or not? Because those pictures show only one arm swinging.
