Hasn't the park had the same food selection for like forever? Some of the food I like and I won't complain about...anybody got any suggestions to what you think is good or bad?

Good quick serve food at the Point:

Burgers, Italian Sausage Hoagies, Philly Steak Sandwiches, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, CP Fries, Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Cheese on a Stick, Custard, Ice Cream, Funnel Cakes, Elephant Ears, Gourmet Pretzels.

Could use improvement:

Pizza, Cat Fish Fillets, Grilled Chicken Sandwiches(marinate the damn things).

Should offer:

Lake Erie Perch Sandwiches, bigger selection of Mexican food (possibly a sit down restaurant), a Chinese/Stir Fry place, Chicken BBQ, Popcorn Chicken.

Generally CP's table service restaurants have very good food, little to suggest there other than to expand the menu at the Breakers Coffee Shop.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I remember a few years ago they used to have popcorn chicken in several locations...I havn't seen it though lately. Also the sit down restaurants don't have much of a selection at all...It would be nice to see an improvement on that.

i thought popcorn chicken was discontinued last year, that was also a favorite of mine..someday they might bring it back..

Werewolf Canyon: it's a lot like shopping for a christmas tree. Only, with werewolves.
I wish the Red Garter Saloon had a little more to choose from on their menu. It seemed all they really had was nacho's and popcorn.

Are you nuts, fat chris? They had/have MANY other items on the menu. Including giant pickles, which my niece almost finished.

Sandwiches, too.

Right by the BBQ chicken used to be Aunty Ems. I think that that is where you would get the fresh sandwiches to eat. Much better than Subway! I was very disappointed when I found out CP took that out! But I remember the BBQ smell....Can you imagine riding MF and smelling that?

And Krispy Kremes are VERY overrated and VERY greasy.....as a previous donut queen of Dunkin' Donuts, I know a good donut......

I definitely agree with Raptorqueen, what she said, plus I think they are too sweet. I'll eat 'em though, I never turn down any kind of pastry :)

Raptorqueen doth blaspheme! Get your torches and pitchforks! Call the Army of the Grossly Overweight to chase her...for about 300 feet or so, anyway...

Dunkin' Donuts good? Where? Okay, maybe at about 6:45 am and only the cruellers at that. Otherwise, bleeeech.

And wouldn't the DD cruellers basically be a poor imitation of the KK original glazed?

I worked in food services over the summer and we had a Krispy Kreme donut wagon that we pushed out on the midways in the morning near the Dragster. I don't know if there are plans for expanding their KK operations in 2004 however. Personally, I think they are disgusting, and homemade donuts would be preferred.
At Camp Snoopy in Mall of America, there was this cart that made & sold mini-donuts. You could watch them form the dough, cook in hot oil, then coat in cinnamon sugar and serve up in a big paper cup, like a large drink size. You got maybe 24 donuts for $3 & they were delicious!

I too really don't like Kruddy Kreme Doughnuts. They deliver the night before. THAT is blasphemous!

Any self respecting operation should produce pasties on-site. It's a whole lot cheaper so you can go one of two routes; exceptional percieved value for customer (really cheap) or exceptional profit margin.

It's actually like that for many products. Which is why it baffles me that so many parks are chosing to go with expensive pre-packaged, pre-cooked crap. Yes it takes all skill out of cooking (or should i say warming) , but it sacrifices all quality in most cases.

I say any park including CP should create their own brands.

Now if only da U.P. had a decent amusement park...in fact, any amusement park at all... Mmm...pasties!

Bring back the freakin' chicken barbecue that used to be on the Millennium Force site!

Couldn't agree more. We used to always get chicken from there. Now, we have to settle for the turkey legs that are somtimes by Snake River Falls\Thunder Canyon area.

Fried dough is about as appealing to me as fried fish. Yuch! I think a REAL candy shop featuring hand made chocolates and other sweets would be nice. I remember seeing a place like that at PKI and spending a lot of money in it. I think that a semi-healthy food stand would be a dream come true for those of us who spend an alarming amount of time in the park. Something resembling Subway, like they did try out season before last. It was tasty, filling and most importantly, not fried. It made a nice second meal, after the Mach Nachos at Last Chance Saloon earlier in the day of course! ;)------------------

Subways work, otherwise healthy has a very limited market. Vegitarians and health concious induviduals are a very vocal and very small group. No matter where i worked or what we tried you could literally sell one hundred times the greasy fatty food versus the healthy choice. I to thought the sandwiches next to the scale and oldie cars was a nice and well run concept. But i can also understand why it's the worlds largest dippin' dots cart.
