GCI looks like it would be a great addition to CP! I just wonder if it will be a woodie how it will the course go?Not much room on millie island unless they somehow run it round frontier trail somehow. And i kno it can be done but it would be kinda hard to run a woodie over the to and back from the island and still have boats pass under it...but hey,i guess we will see soon enough!

My 81 year old dad thinks it will be a large coaster that runs all over the park! He said he can't wait to ride it! Just a thought, but would there be a possibilty of two coasters going in? One by the island and one in the Disaster Transport area.

Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

^^The Jack arch is a wonderful piece of engineering.

see here and here. look at the arch over the water in MF's 2nd parabolic hill.

Dear CP Management,

Please stop with the deforestation and tear down Mean Streak. I'm sick of looking at that massive abomination. That ride was a mistake. A complete and utter pile of s***. It has absolutely no redeeming qualities and nobody would miss it if it were gone. NOBODY. Yet it continues to occupy the most prime piece of real estate in the park while trees, water rides, and flats are mercilessly and unnecessarily sacrificed for expansion. Enough is enough. Take it down. Burn it. I'll do it myself for free. I don't care, just get rid of this nightmare.

Thank you.

I'm happy about the new ride, but it would be better if it didn't have to come at the expense of the few trees left in the park. Seriously, when will management wake up and realize that yes, COASTERS ARE EXPENDABLE TOO!?!?!

Yes a jack arch is great but for a woodie they will need some nice sized steel beams to support the arch and the clearance will need to be great enough for the paddle wheels...yes they can do it just gonna be pretty big i would say...and i like big lol, thanks for the pics tho Coastern3rd

Yawn....

Mean streak bashing is getting old.

I think IF it were a wood coaster, they would have to do something like this if they wanted to keep paddlewheel around.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You can make a arch big enough to have things fit under.Look at The Ravine Flyer II at Waldameer... That wood coaster goes over the highway!

The span over the water is not that big... it would not be hard at all to build over it.

So another family ride bites the dust (Paddlewheel, or what's left of it..) while MS continues to stand, and we shouldn't talk about it because it's getting old? It's a dead horse that's been beaten worse than a congo in a kindergarten classroom, but you'd rather them keep it around and continue taking down trees when it comes time to build another ride? There are so many possibilities for the land MS sits on, it would be a mistake for CP not to do something about it.

Hail to the Victors

Who says Paddlewheel is going anywhere?

Well, it does sort of go in a circle. So it is going somewhere.

Thanks chief, I know about that.

What I am saying is bridges have been used on coasters for a long time now to clear other objects, I don't understand why people would think that it would be "hard to do" while also keeping Paddlewheel.

Ahem...

I prefer my lunch TOGO...especially when there's lightning around.

TOGO is bankrupt... lol

Could that be for 2010?!

That looks like somewhere near the train tracks, no?

It is right by the train tracks, its the new piece of concrete I mentioned a few weeks back. It has an electric company logo on it.

what if cedar point put the electric company logo on them to disguise them from what they really are. lol
