If White Lightning is not for Carowinds, why does this website exist? Just a fake?
T & T did mention lightning...
Nevermind...I guess the Carowinds track is red....making WL a rather strange name choice.
Promoter of fog.
O.K., I have two more conspiracy type thoughts here about the 2010 quote...
"There is a storming brewing, Lightning is going to strike."
#1 - CF has purchased Storm Runner from Hershey (perhaps the rights to clone it?). It would complement MF & TTD, and the name meshes with the Maverick theme as a transition into Frontier Town.
#2 - CF has decided to make ammends and bury the hatchet with all those disgruntled Geauga Lake Fans by relocating the Big Dipper. It would fit the footprint, and go a long way in the PR department at a very low cost - especially if the whole "undisclosed buyer" thing was a smokescreen.
But honestly, I really think it will be a topple tower or water ride because in a Discovery Channel program earlier this summer. there was a interview with the CF design group discussing Maverick - in the background were drawings of a topple tower in the CF office. The justification for a water ride is simply due to the location - an island with a waterway.
^^ Red track fits White Lightning as much as yellow and red track fits Silver Bullet at Knotts.
White Lightning is the name of Carowinds new ride... but who is to say they won't re-use the name? GP up here don't even know what Kings Dominion is, let alone Carowinds. They would never know that there is another coaster with the same name in a park in North Carolina.
"Cedar Point witnessed many people enjoying the intamin settting of the park at sunset..."
via Facebook.
So they have dropped aquatrax, intamin, and GCI hints. I don't think we can make any good guesses as to what it is now. If anything, intamin at sunset could mean an intamin is replacing mean streak (the location is right on the lake therefore having a nice view of a sunset).
First rollback=opening weekend '09
Intamins are my least favorites. I only like maverick. I think they are slightly overestimated.
I am not going to say how much I want a Gravity Group coaster.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
It was once again sarcastic. If the numerous !!!!! and 1111 in that post didn't tell you that, then I'm sorry.
Gravity Group makes long out and back coasters; something that would not fit in that space. Not saying GG couldnt make a twister layout that could fit, but it is more of a GCI thing.

Ok let me say this a different way. I know Ravine Flyer II isn't a straight out and back like Blue Streak, but it goes out pretty far and goes over a 4 lane highway. http://www.waldameer.com/RavineFlyer2.html It is a pretty long layout. I sure wouldnt call it compact.
Boardwalk Bullet is compact. Super compact. Only takes up one acre! Besides BB though they are all long layouts.
I know if somebody asked GG to do a compact coaster they could, but with Cedar Fair installing Prowler (a GCI) I can't see them randomly going GG.
