Then I'm sure you love or will love El Toro. That is some of the most extreme Ejector I've ever experienced.

There is a chance they were there for the new ride last year, especially if they are for some kind of utilities. In this conference call, Kinzel points out that they convinced a ride manufacturer to delay a ride until 2010.http://seekingalpha.com/article/135508-cedar-fair-l-p-q1-2009-earnings-call-transcript?page=7 (scroll down about half way)
Actually, here's the link to the appropriate page - its page 6, not 7.
Now since Carowinds got Carolina Cobra this year, I would think that their new ride was originally slated for 2010. But he could be talking about King's Dominion's new Intamin. Maybe not, but he could be talking about CP considering they did not receive anything for the 2009 season. It's anyone's guess, but it is fun to speculate.
He is talking about CP. I don't have a link to the call, but Kinzel mentioned CP specifically with regard to working with "a ride purveyor" to hold off on a project for the 2010 season.

So I was thinking, with all of those Ohio Edison cement slabs in between the CCMR and the C.P & L.E. railroad, maybe we'll be seeing the railroad moved a few feet towards the lagoon? Those cement slabs come very close to the train when it passes by. I don't think the park wants anyone to be able to reach out from the train cars and grab an electric box.
I was at CP yesterday. I looked at the island for a long time from several different angles and did not see anything. Most of the utility flags that were around CCMR are gone. I did see someone drawing and measuring the lockers next to Skyhawk. He was dressed up. No CP nametag. I was trying to find out who he worked for so I asked him where the First Aid station was. He did not know. Maybe they are doing something with the old frontier lift building.
