In the aerial view, it shows that the bridge isn't down.
What aerial view? The one linked on the last page that was clearly taken during the offseason? Windows isn't updating their aerial views every 20 minutes. You're lucky if they update it every few years.

Just for the record and in case this hasn't been mentioned elsewhere, Sir Rub-a-Dub's Tubs was built before 1993.
The Tubs were mentioned before, but Sir Bumpalot's Boats was the ride that opened in 1993.

I'd love an airtime-heavy B&M, but I know that's way down the list, since they don't really need one. While we're at it, I'd love a new car, a bigger house and a fatter paycheck. :)
I would really love for you to not be so condescending to everyone. I am not an old man and I am not a youngster but regardless your attitude does not contribute to the thread, it just takes up space.

^^Yeah, I think that was my fault. I knew it was a kids water ride and I said the wrong one. My bad. Sir Bumpalot's Boats was defiantly the other 1993 ride in question. Sir Bumpalot's Boats were located in the Kiddie Kingdom. Looking at the maps from year to year it's hard to tell how long it was there because not every ride is listed. Though it looks like it is gone in 1999. It looks like the bumper boat ride in the Jr. Gemini kids area opened at the same time. I don't know what the old ride looked like. Was the old one relocate to this new location, or is it a completely different installation.

Now with that said, did anyone happen to notice those two new supports laying around behind one of the train scenes? One looks as thick as some of Diamondback's...
I saw a "support" with a spiraling stair case attached to it, laying on its side in the (former) bone yard. It didn't look new, but then again, I didn't get the best look at it, as I was ridding Millennium Force. It appeared to be grayish in color, which led me to believe it wasn't anything new.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. :)

Clearly, the aerial view(not birds eye view) was taken during the season. And clearly, you can tell that there was a bridge but it was removed for the season. When did I ever say they update it every 20 minutes?
I am a tad confused. The bumper boats by Gemini were buit in 1993?
The gray was it the supports for millenium or perhaps magnum?
Honestly, it reminded me of some of the stuff you'd find in the bone yard before it was cleaned out... it didn't look like it belonged to either one of those coasters.

Did Sir Bumpalot's Boats open in 1993? That does sound about right. It isn't on the map in the 1993 park guide but it is on the map in the 1994 park guide (and for some reason drawn as a circuit rather than a rectangular pool of water).
I can't exactly remember when it moved to the Gemini Children's Area, so 1999 sounds about right. I thought it moved around the same time the Frog Hopper was added to GCA as a kiddie ride counterpart to Power Tower, kind of like how Sir Rub-a-Dub's Tubs could be seen as a kiddie ride counterpart to Thunder Canyon.
ok, I have read almost all of the pages in this topic and have stayed out of the conversation until now. I am sort of a 3rd party giving a fresh look at what has been going on lately.
as far as all the hints that CP has been dropping, I think people read to much into them cause you can't be to sure of what is fact and what is a decoy. This is what I am gathering.
it was most definitely not be a wooden coaster. We have Gemini and Mean Streak and Blue Streak to satisfy that. Any more wooden coasters and I think it would be too much.
If you take a look at the website which is the most revealing clue IMHO. The millennium logo on the bottle to me just signifies that it will be built on the MF island. The reference to the beverage and refreshing to me suggests water ride. And whyte lightning. We had White Water Landing, and Whyte Strikes twice, means that White (whyte) Water Landing is coming back in a bigger and better way.
I also believe that CP will not let the Coaster Record go EVER, especially to Six Flags after they built the TTD replica. The Point didn't work it's but off keeping the record to one day just say eff it. So IMHO it will have to be a coaster of some sort.
So how do we accomplish to the goal of having White Water Landing return as a bigger badder version of itself. My guess would an Aquatrax coaster with a Flume Theme to it. I also thing that this will not be any sort of a relaxing family flume but a VERY fast and intense flume. Think about the term Whyte Lightning. What would happen if you were in the water during a thunderstorm. I think there will be a launch on the ride with lightning themed and a lot of bumpy wavy water effects as you speed through a very up and down aquatrax. The trains will be flume themed but the ride will be designed as a coaster to keep the record but it will be water themed and very fast and intense. Kinda think Water Themed Maverick with flume trains.
Oh yea, and SRF, I have a feeling that the birthday will be celebrated with a party (maybe and employee night for it or something) and then it will have it's last goodbye and this new ride will take up that entire area plus the area cleared on MF island.
That is my two cents for now. any ideas?!?!
Not again, Gemini IS NOT A WOODEN ROLLER COASTER!
What determines if a ride is a wooden or steel coaster is the rails, if its a wooden coaster its rails it will be square shape made up of mostly laminated wood with steel ribings on the top, bottom and inside edges (ie the ones where the wheels are. A steel coaster has tubular steel rails. So, next time look at the shape of the rails if its a circle, its steel if its a rectangle, its wood.
Sounds like a well thought out idea to me. Lets see if it gets shot down tho : ) And finally someone brought the Crystal rock bottling back into it. Because it obviously has somethig to do with the whole thing
touchdown, I am aware that gemini has metal rails. However, to the GP it is a wooden coaster. Seeing a large wooden support structure with trains running on it means a wooden coaster to the public. At least that is my opinion. So I think another large wooden structure would be too much.
that's all
darnovo, you're a brave person coming on here posting your ideas.
I'm sure the regular asses will be around to flame you in the morning.
I like your thinking darnovo. :) this is exactly how I feel too. but when I tried to explain it on here, I of course got attacked.
You bring up good points there darnovo, but I have to mention one thing. Tony and Tyler just posted an onpoint-blog on Monday dropping hints about how a ride will celebrate 17 years next year. We all know they're taking about Snake River Falls. So to me that means that Snake River Falls will stay for 2010.
I also think they will squeeze this new ride in behind it somewhere and that it might cross over the lagoon. Personally in my opinion though, I don't think Snake River Falls is leaving next year. :)
