Music Triggering CP Thoughts/Memories

The song that ALWAYS takes me back to the Millie queue is "ALIVE" by POD. It played about six times when I rode it "for the very first time". It was, actually, the first time I'd heard the song. The irony was that I was thinking exactly what the song was saying when I got into the line. To this day, I love that song. Funny, how one cross-associates things like this in their mind. Kinda like lovers having an "our song"! Only better. Because, Cedar Point doesn't care if I cheat on it. ;)

Mr. Roboto by Styx and Crazy Train by Ozzie bring back some fond memories. I remember it was like 11:00 and the DJ for Magnum put on Mr. Roboto. Everyone started cheering got really everyone hyped up and made me even more anxious to ride. The DJ's for Magnum are the best!

The only one I can think of with a female singing was This Kiss by (I think) Faith Hill (correct me if she doesn't sing it!). But thats not really r&b. Oh well.... Its the one song that I always heard, and my roommates and I would sing along with everytime we heard it!

The entire Load cd (Metallica) reminds me of CP...Listened to it on the way there one time and just sort of stuck

Song while waiting in line...Well all the standard Mantis songs (Hey, I kind of like how they never changed them) Also in Raptor line..."Time Warp" (Rocky Horror Picture Show), "No Leaf Clover" (Metallica), "What I like about you" (The Romantics) Also, Love Shack, You can call me Al, *shudders* Macarana (sp?), Summertime Blues, one of the marches they played on Frontier Trail (2000)...I'm sure there are more, but I just can't think of them right now.

But I always attach a song to an event, it's just a weird thing I tend to do. Just like "Apollo 13", "That thing you do" and "Armaggedon" also remind of CP...particularly the bus trips there.

Metallica, Magnum and Mountain Dew, and finally turning 21...what could be better?

Breakfast at Tiffany's reminds me of Mantis, Hoobastank - Crawling in the Dark, for Top Thrill Dragster, especialy after the other day when both times we rode that day that song came on right as we were rolling out of the station. Love Shack reminds me of well, everything at the park, from Johnny Rockets to Magnum. This Kiss by Faith Hill, only because I heard it CONSTANTLY at the park, no less than 6 times a visit. There are so many others that I just can't of right now.

The Beach Boys always remind my girlfriend and I of CP. We would always hear them when walking on the boardwalk near Breakers. I remember the at end of last season, the last weekend CP was open, we had a room at breakers. We were walking down the boardwalk to our room and it was like 40 out or something but they were still playing the Beach Boys. At the time it made me sad, knowing they'd be closed for the season after that night. Now whenever I hear the Beach Boys it makes me think about walking on the boardwalk near Breakers and it couldn't make me happier.

I'm guessing no! It's been a while since last summer (prob the most redundant statement I've made in a while), I still say it's Faith Hill, since noone else is coming up with suggestions ;-P

Hootie and the Blowfish-Time!! Every time I hear that song I go into a Mantis daze! Anyone else immediatly think of Mantis when they hear this song? I know Hootie is old, but they still rock! Hahaha....

I wanna talk about me from the summer spectacular!!! My gals from guest services and I madei t our theme song last summer. I had it on a cd in my car and anytime we went somewhere we'd blare it with my car windows and sun roof down and we'd scream the lyrics. Good times. If you heard 4-5 crazy girls screaming the lyrics on the causeway, it was probably us!

2003 - Rides 15 days to go - Hyperness levels escalating......if it wasnt for those 8 exams this week I'd be there already! DOH!

After Spending a day at cp. In the car on the way back i fell asleep(my wife was driving) and on my head phones i was listening to my sons cd(Good Charlotte) Well I fell asleep and "Lifestlyes of the Rich adn the famous came on" and i was thinking about the day and all teh rides we went on, so thaut song is permantly burnt into my mind as being, Cedar Points song.
