Music Triggering CP Thoughts/Memories

My first visit to CP was the best experience ever and the music I listened to before/after that trip triggers memories of that day(s). Even now (3 years later) when papa roach last resort comes on all I can think about if CP & MF. Anyone else have these symptions? I dont think im crazy but it would be nice to see if anyone else has reactions like these :)

Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets is one of the best IMAX movies ever made. The film played a couple of times at Cedar Point. I enjoyed the movie so much, I bought both the video and the soundtrack. The music was composed by Bill Conti, who also composed music for the Karate Kid (another great soundtrack), Rocky, and others.

Listening to the wonderful instrumentals on the CD always brings back memories of the Cedar Point Cinema.

"We Like to Party" by the Vengaboys, "Kryptonite" by Three Doors Down, and "Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon. I heard all of these songs while waiting in the long queue of MF back in 2000.

They still trigger the memory of being one of the "Brotherhood of the Force." Back then, there was a feeling of electricity that went through that line the first few months the park was open. It lost that after a few months, but anyone who had ridden it early on knows what I'm talking about.

...Denial is an ugly thing.

I rode MF about 17 times this year and all but two Michael Jackson's Billie Jean played. Im not saying im a fan just that it played all the time when i was there...

Go Bellevue High School Band!

I remember like 7 or 8 years ago I was in line for Magnum (back whe Maggie was always full) and the DJ played the hand jive and everybody was doing it and me and my friend were like, what the....? Another one is Michael Jacksons Thriller, That is a good ride line song, also remember the video they used to show in line for the mantis? what happened to that?
I can't hear "Summertime Blues" without thinking about, "Cedar Point is the cure for the summertime blues."
The audio for the Mantis' video is still playing in the queue.

"Whip It" by DEVO!
Have to be Crazy Train by Ozzy. I remember way back when the first season of Magnum. There was a coaster special on Entertainment To Night and when they showed Magnum in action they were playing Crazy Train. It was what started my love for Magnum and coasters in general.
Don't mention those same songs over and over for 6 years in the Mantis line.
Planet Claire by the B-52s

Mantis' line is perpetually stuck in 1996.

'02 Trips to CP:31 (never enough)

Let's see.....Breakfast at Tiffany's, My Sharona, I'll be There for You, Love Shack. Just hearing those songs makes my legs hurt. What else am I missing?

------------------
Hoping to work at The Point in '03 so I too can get drunk and pee on VertiGo

Love Shack reminds me of Johnny Rockets. The staff must now HATE that song!

"If we go any faster, she'll blow apart for sure!"

I remember when my friend put in a nickel at Johnny Rockets to play Love Shack. I didn't know they were going to dance. I was laughing so hard...
