Launching directly from the station is a bonus too, because you don't get any feeling of movement (other than rolling back into the sled) before launch.
MF gets REALLY "meh" after you've ridden it enough. The drop just doesn't have the pop it did for me anymore. And, the more I become an enthusiast and look at the other rides of the world, the more "meh" MF becomes.

bg MF is one of the best rides on the Earth. It may suffer by comparison but thats because it's part of an amazing collection of coasters at CP. And yes, go and ride it over and over and over and over like some of us have it's not quite the same as the first time, but it's still a great ride.
I would say that the way you are bashing coasters at CP on multiple threads/posts, you may want to get a new name and a new hobby.
^Because hes not a fan of some CP coasters, he should change his name and hobby? What a joke. You should leave your little world and realize, CP doesn't have the best rides in the world. Far from it, actually.

Any coaster will become more meh after riding it so many times, in my opinion. Although, I still think the Vortex at Kings Island still has a great gut wrenching first drop.
Well it was supposed to be a joke, although not a very good one. Sorry about that bg.
TTD4life CP was awarded a golden ticket for "Best Amusement Park In The World". Plus MF #2 steel in the world, XL-200 #3 steel in the world, TTD #10 steel in the world, & Raptor #14 steel in the world. Pretty amazing for one park. The best part is that it's not my "little world" because I didn't vote. It's the great big world everybody else lives in.
My point was that it's a great ride surrounded by great rides.

Interesting statement from someone who has his top 5 in his signature, 4 of which are rides at CP. :)
I do belive it lives up to what its worth, its got the height the speed and the nice flooting air time. Plus its one of the smooths coaster on the planet!!!

The Golden Tickets are total bull, and every non-CP fan knows it... and hell, most educated CP fans know it too. How CP wins SO many things from those dumb awards boggle my mind. If more non-biased people would vote in those awards, we would see MUCH better results... IE: The Mitch Hawker polls.
Yeah, i'ma huge CP fan, my favorite place on Earth, so don't just think i'm saying all this because i'm some angry SFGAdv fan or something.

Meh, my top 5 isn't really relevant. Just because I haven't ventured out into the coaster world doesn't mean my opinion isn't valid. Fact is, most of CP's major coasters are "meh" at best. TTD, while I do love it to death, is far from what it COULD have been. Magnum... is well, Magnum (awesome BTW), MF is slowly dropping because.. well, it sucks, and Raptor, while being a good invert, is FAR from the best. Next year, when I actually get out of this narrow minded state and go ride some rides somewhere else, my 'meh' statement will be proven even more.
I just really wish some CP fans, mostly the narrow-minded ones on this site, would actually realize, CP IS NOT god's gift to Earth, but simply another, decent, park.

I sure hope I'm still riding coasters when I'm 70. :)
I feel silly responding to a three-week old post, but TTD4Life, you need to seriously chill out. Last time I checked, this site was for CEDAR POINT fans, a place for people who really love CEDAR POINT to get together on-line and talk about CEDAR POINT. Oddly enough, this frequently means people mentioning how wonderful they think CEDAR POINT is.
There are very few people here who think CP is the only good amusement park in the world. It's just the one they choose to talk about in this forum.
Man, this soapbox needs cleaning. ;)
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
Gosh Cedar Point. Why can't you just build a 500 ft, 19 inversion, 20,000 ft long coaster with an hours worth of airtime like I can on Roller Coaster Tycoon? I mean, It will only cost 9.3 Billion dollars, but if it makes TTD4Life happy, then go for it! I mean, so many other coasters like that exist in this world, why can't our Cedar Point have one? Sheesh, you're right TTD4Life, Cedar Point is only decent. I wish Six Flags Worlds of Adventure was still around, I mean, they r0x0rzed the big one!!11one!1!

CP is definitely one of God's gifts to Earth. I guess I can see what you're saying though, about some coasters being "meh". They may be just MEH to some people But I only get to go once or twice a year, and each time I go its a whole new experience for me. And I'm sure any coaster fan would never really get tired of the same coaster, even if they have ridden it 1,000 times.

I beg to differ. I'd like to just take a random poll of the members of this forum and I would put money on that over 50% think CP is the best ever and nothing can ever touch it. MONEY, kiddo. Yes, this is a CP forum, filled with tons of CP fans, but the real fact is, most people on here are blind to all the other rides out in the world. Yes, CP is good, but many, MANY other rides and places are better.

Now, we can all tell your a Michigan fan. Go Bucks.

Quite the contrary, i've ridden MF a tiny little 35 times, and still find it 'meh'. Hell, I know guys who've ridden it only once who find it 'meh'.
But no, I absolutely understand your feelings. CP is a great place to go to and I always have fun, if its my 1st visit or my 30th visit. I have that feeling about Kings Island.. except its not god gift to anything. But, although it is a great place, its not the best in the world.

I've ridden it twice, and was like "meh." I think it is over rated...AMAZING first drop, but I think the lift is too fast, and all the turns are the same. ok, i'm waiting to be eaten alive.....

Wow, that explains a lot. Leave it to a Buckeye fan to not see the big picture. LMAO!
While we're on the topic of College Football, your wonderful Buckeyes were saved this year by the pollsters. Didn't want to see Heisman boy Troy Smith get slapped in the face by Michigan on a neutral field. Well, I guess a National Championship is what it is, even if it's handed to you on a silver platter.
Hail to the Victors
1. I fail to see what you mean by "big picture." Your idiotic post means just about nothing to me besides someone trying to prove a point which has no application to what my personal opinion is or to what i'm trying to say.
2. You had the chance and your little wolverines didn't do it. Quit crying and go get killed by USC.

Brady Quinn = Not able to perform in big games, just look at that ND has done versus great teams.
Troy Smith = Heisman QB on the #1 team in the country on his way to the national title game, who IS able to perform when the pressure is on.
