What do you mean by "thing of rocks"? A box of rocks? A decorative thing meant to catch our eye? Or some other thing of rocks...
Promoter of fog.
The site works just fine on a mobile web browser, an app is not needed.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
"Thing of rocks" = it was like a drawing made of rocks. My wife thought it looked like a tombstone. It's on the left side of the queue right before you get to the station steps.
And there is usually the same style stone sign under the pretzel loop of Magnum. This likely Means nothing.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
I stayed there Wednesday to Wednesday last week, a big storm washed out what was spelled out under the loop, it said something but wasn't real legible.

I remember Magnum doing the same thing for the 25th anniversary in 2014. I mentioned it to one of the ride hosts, and he thanked me for noticing. Which I'm assuming means that the ride hosts probably put it together during their low zone checks one day before opening.
This pile of rocks really probably doesn't mean anything at all, other than to celebrate it's 25th.

This site could really use an improved photo feature. A mobile app would also be nice.

People who use apps for forum browsing make me sick. Phones are the size of bricks again, plenty of reading room.

It would still be nice to just click on the app to use the forum instead of going on google, typing 'pointbuzz' into the search bar and then clicking on the website and waiting for it to load. Plus the keyboard always seems to crash while on google, but that's probably just me.

Setting it to favorites helps a lot.

Why would you search for the site on Google? Just open your browser and type pointbuzz.com. Better yet, if you have Android and use Chrome, when you are at the site just click on "Add to Home Screen" from the Chrome browser menu and you will get an icon on your home screen. When you click the icon a browser window opens and takes you directly to the site, just like an icon for an app would do. iOS and other browsers may have similar functionality, I'm not sure about that though.

There are advantages to apps depending on the setup, especially if you need a phone's hardware (like a camera, etc.)
However, then you have to build an app that works on several different OS's and multiple devices...can you say software bugs?
They are great..but for something like here..nope. It'd be nice if the frames/layout of the page were cached in the app, and the only thing that was pulled would be the value of each reply. However, that really depends on how this place is setup. I have zero insight into how Pop Forums is built or if it's using SQL/etc to store values.
At work for us though. We have a mobile web page, and an app. The mobile web page gets updates quicker and more feature based...because we can update it on the fly and not really have issues. The apps, oh that's fun..especially you IOS....IOS is a pain at work.

I wish I understood this as well. For as long as we've been at this, you'd be shocked at the amount of traffic that comes in via Google using the search term PointBuzz. Apparently, to some people, Google is the Internet.
PF already does a lot of dynamic loading (like infinite scrolling), and honestly, the overhead of the containing pages isn't huge, and it's downright tiny if you have no ads using PointBuzz Premium. I'm on the fence of going full-on async everything for the next version, because of the fact that search engines aren't universally good at indexing stuff that way. Without that indexing, we would be in a lot of trouble. All of that organic traffic from search engines is what pays our bills.

....you mean..... the Googles isn't the Internets? Why has no one told me about this?
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
