maXair Structure on site

Looking at those pictures (and its not very detailed, so I could be wrong) but I think there will be some sort of metal grate over the footer pits.

Hey Rider... you could always save it for towards the end of the day. That way, if it makes ya sick, you've already gotten in your coaster riding for the day anyways! :-)

NO spin-till-ya-puke ride has ever made me sick... though I went on Chaos for the 1st time last year, and it was the only ride where I actually felt it in my stomach. It was cool... I'll definitely have to ride it and MaXair this year for a little coaster break!!!

Pro Bob

I was on Chaos years ago (my friend dragged me on). Made me very sick (and I didn't even enjoy it... it was a strange ride).

But yea... end of the day. Thats the plan.

ive never ridden a ride of this type before, i assume it starts out back-and-forth and builds up momentum for a complete revolution? how many times back-and-forth, and how many all-the-way-arounds do you get per ride?

Never goes all the way around. Just up to about 120 degrees. There is a link to a video somewhere in this thread I think. I guess the number of back and forths would depend on what kind of through-put CP wants to have. They can determine the ride length however they want.

You know to be honest, when you're actually riding a giant frisbee ride, you barely notice the spinning. It's hard to understand unless you've experienced it for yourself but I can assure you that it probably won't affect you unless you're extremely sensitive to motion, which begs the quesiton, why are you in an amusement park in the first place if you're that sensitive to it?

Thunder Canyon '05

Im sensitive to spinning, but i still go to Cedar Point...

Well if a person is sensitive to a giant frisbee, I doubt they could handle a coaster much better. That's how hard it is to even notice the spinning.

I can ride any coaster you throw me on with no nausea but make me ride Witches' Wheel and I will be sicker than a dog. I used to be able to ride all those spinning rides but now I stick to the coasters, along with Power Tower, Demon Drop, and I will try out maXair.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Same here. I used to be good with spinners - now even a faster scambler can induce the green face of horror. Coasters don't bother me at all.

However, Delirium didn't bother me one bit.

How many Delirium laps did you do at BeastBuzz last year? I did two (because I wanted a Drop Zone hit), and I did three the year before. The third one was a little less fun than the others, but I think I would've been fine with a little break.

I rode it twice as well. But for the whole season, I rode it about 35 times.

That's one thing I was a little worried about, was becoming sick on maXair. I mean, I highly doubt I would, I ride every single other type of ride just fine. But I did ride a similar(much smaller) ride at the fair and I felt it a little. I guess I'll just have to wait and jump on and see.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

We did two.

Hit Delirium, moved over to Drop Zone for the first run, then got back just in time to catch the last cycle on Delirium.

That ride really doesn't get to me. I'll have to go for three this year.

Did get two laps on FOF and four on Beast after that though. :)

At Beastbuzz 2003 during ERT I caught three rides on Delirium without leaving my seat and I was just about done. I could hardly walk, felt really dizzy, and thought I was going to technicolor yawn.

Then I rode FoF and felt even more like it.

Ah... that was the year it ran its fastest. I've never had a launch ride kick my ass like FoF did that year. I don't think I could ride it more than twice, but damn was that intense.

Seeing as a) it is night and you can't see much in the dark, and I'm sure that they will have it up soon enough and b) the main construction is done now so there isn't as much to see now as there was in the past weeks.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I'm sure it's probably down right now with all this snow we are getting pounded with.

not pounded with, fluffed with, i got a few inches, & its real fluffy, but thats irrelevant, the maXair cam was up yesterday the 1st, i would imagine it would be up today, but like Vince said there's probably nothing much to look at...

Top Thrill Dragster....Always number one

There was nothing new that I noticed except for the scaffolding at the bottom of the picture.

man, you missed the seagull. It sat on the wall for like five minutes.....and one of the workers climed up on the scaffold and painted the wall yellow....you should really pay a lot closer attention to the webcam, I don't think you're spending enough time on it......oh wait, shoot, what did I miss while I was typing this....
