On the bottom of the CP website in the scrolling news area said maXair will not open Sunday October 23.

Bad luck...are you kidding. If read my statement, TTD was open more than maXair was. That's very good luck.

It was the same for the times I went. *got off MF, head towards maXair* "What?!! Its down?!! Thats kind of stupid!......OH look there goes Dragster...oh thats right, its working very well today. I think I'll go get another ride on it.":)

I love maXair it has sooooooooo much less downtime than Top Thrill Dragster.......I think you were just having bad luck.

MaXair went down the very first cycle of Joe Cool on Friday... it was quite sad! It remained down the entire weekend.... :(

I miss Maxie!!

I was just joking about the whole thing. During my 2 trips on May 9 and June 22. maXair was up and down the entire day. TTD didn't even have a rollback. It was bad luck, yet I still got 4 rides on maXair.

Down all closing weekend?????

Say it isnt so.

So.

Brandon

Wow...major disappointment. With Maxair and TTD down, the lines are going to be even longer now on the other rides.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Might make me change my plans and go "next" weekend - in May - instead.

I really don't think the absence of maXair will have much of an effect on other rides.

I should have made more of an effort to show my sarcasm in that last post o' mine. I'm tired today (no more late-nite drinking followed by 4am mornings... ugh) and lazy. ;)

I only got to the point once this summer and it was great. As for maXair the first time i got in line for it i got all the way on the ride, it went through its 10min safty shpiel, then finally it started going. But it only turned about a 1/4 of a turn and stopped. It went through the shpiel again then turned the opposite way to where it started then stopped."Riders on the platform we're experiencing technical difficulties we recomend that you go enjoy one of our other attractions".

Came back later when we got in line they closed the line off right behind me and my girl and wouldn't let anyone else in line saying it would be closed the rest of the night. We got on and it did the exact same thing. Talk about bad luck. This time however after it went back to the starting point they fired it up again, we got to ride, then they closed it for the rest of the night.

:( I was hoping to go on it on sunday. That's a shame. It's funny, the two friends I am going with were saying a month ago they just want to go on TTD and MaxAir (the only rides they really haven't been on). O well tough luck

Also, I don't think it will effect lines that much. TTD being down, maybe a little bit, but with not a whole lot of people that normally wait in line for maxair, the other lines shouldn't be much longer (sorry if you get a little confused by my last statement, I put it in the best words I could. lol).

As of October 30, 2005, I have rode EVERY thrill ride at cedar point! Begining with the Raptor and ending with the Demon Drop.

Isn't that just perfect. The ride count looks a lot like pre-2003.

Did Intamin buy Huss?

I'm beginning to wonder if they did ;)

Between Dragster and maXair the lines were much longer.

Saturday, the 25th the lines for Millenium were 2 and half hours. Magnum was 1 hour and 15 minutes. Even the Power Tower had an hour and half wait.

Overall I was really disapointed in Cedar Point.

"Did Intamin buy Huss?" or did Six Flags buy Cedar Point?
