Todays video is one of the best that I have seen yet... Was wondering what you all thought of the video's I give them a A+

It was already brought up here and here.

I do agree though that they look really well done.

The last few with the weird western guy didn't do anything for me, but today's short movie like thing looks interesting. I say look, because the laptop I'm using doesn't have any sound.

I does look interesting. I didn't catch all of it this morning, so I'll have to look at it again when I get home from work.

Looking at the pondcam today, it looks like the stators are all the way up the lift hill. That sure happened fast.

Installing them doesn't take long (just a couple bolts). Its getting them to work right that will take most of the next 6 months.

It does take some effort to install them.

They have to be in perfect allignment with all of the others to work proporley

^Hence the next six months they have to adjust them.

The new video they have put on is the best. Talk about quality, I wonder if & when it will be aired on T.V.

Its a new Primetime Sitcom :D

When's the next episode? I'm getting as interested in this as my mom is in the Bachelor and Survivor. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I'm surprised how much of premier road they have to dig up just for Mavericks electricity. How far do they have to go with those electrical lines? Also I'm interested in the next episode. The very first one was funny, and now they're getting more interesting like how you stated BlueStreak64.

I believe there is a power sub-station just off the causeway on the mainland side. They have to run new lines from there. I think they normally splice off an existing line, but since the LSM's will need a dedicated power draw, they are running a new line.

Shawn,

Just a friendly, non-confrontational heads-up: It's Perimeter Road, not Premier Road :)

As for how much of it they need to tear up, I think CP's power comes from the South-Eastern part of the peninsula or just off the peninsula. I'm not sure on this one, but I think I heard that somewhere.

Jugga is right, the LSMs need alot of current as well as they create alot of electrical line noise. Line noise can be found heard through speakers like the crackle you hear on WTs speakers when it launches.

Also Jugga they can't always tap off of an exsisting line. Wire can only handle so much current based upon its size and ambient temperature factor. Once a main supply line reaches its maximum amp load, which is the sum of all things electrical at full amp draw, then a new line must be run.

^Thank you Mr. Wizard. ;) Just kidding. Interesting stuff about running new electrical line as opposed to tapping an existing one.

You get to a point where you are drawing to much power through existing lines. At that point, you need to run aditional lines. If this is the case, I would think they are planing ahead for future projects as well. This way they won't have to do the same thing in another 5 or 10 years.

I would imagine they will run a dedicated line for Maverick as well as a secondary line for future expansion. Easier to run a second now than to tear the road up again in 6 years when they install something else.

Didn't they bring in a new line for WT and spliced off of that for Dragster's power? It's interesting to see how much their power consumption is going up with some of these new rides.

Or was a line for Dragster's power run when the WT line was run?

Good point, Chris (Ralph).

It's also interesting that Dragster, which propels trains from 0-120 in 4 seconds is piggy-backed off other lines, not the other way around. It's crazy that LSM and LIM technologies use that much power.
