They should be colored White or Gold light at night for a nice contrast against the track.

Actually it doesn't add way too much drag. I live in Fl and ride it pretty frequently. You can feel it when you ride it but it's not enough to throw you forward lol Just enough to slow you down. It is deff a cool effect and I expect with Maverick that people on the midway may get wet like on Sheikra but who know's? It def. beats the ehat so it would be smart. I can't wait to see what they do with Maverick however with the water effects and such. I'll be there to ride it in October..I'm def. excited cause I haven't been in a few years =D gets kinda tough living in Florida lol...

I read above that Magnum had smoke and lights in the last tunnel just recently. It's been ages since I've seen the effects running. Can anyone clarify a couple things?: I remember smoke, lights and sound effects in I think tunnels #2 and 3, am I wrong? Also, what about the awesome 'tracer' lighting that used to 'flash' from the bottom of the lift to the top? Kinda looked like lightning bolts or electricity running back and forth on Magnum's lift...

I was wondering the same thing. Magnum did have smoke and lights in the tunnels. Guess it costs too much to keep up or nobody cared about it anymore.

Yes Magnum certainly did have all of the above those first couple of years. After the third hill finally got fixed, the effects started to deminish (as I recall). Too bad, they were very cool.

They should bring that back or Magnums 20th Birthday and also use it in Millennium Force tunnels. That would be neat! I have a question for someone. At one time or is there any brakes in the tunnel before the pretzel loop? I do remember they used to have a lot of smoke in that particular tunnel.

Looking at the webcam, it looks like that pipe that leads into the canyon over the pond actually shoots out an arc fountain over the track. Looks really cool if you ask me...

Also, if you look at the surface of the pond, it looks like it makes a "curtain of water" all the way to the end. So, I would assume you're gonna get wet on the ride. LOL!! I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Ahh yes, I see what you mean. However, I don't think you'll be hit with anything more than a light mist when you pass through there.

It looks like the riders today are getting hit with a light mist on the whole ride. :)

^ haha ya. I wouldn't care, i'd rather be wet and riding maverick than being dry and sitting at home on my computer

Maverick has neither the cans on the trains nor close enough contact with water.

Yes, I mean, I think it will add aesthetic effect somewhat like the Sheikra set up does.

yes..its more for the people on the midway to look at it and go " wow thats amazing''.

I'm sure with the speed you are going through the S-curve, that you will just lightly get misted by the sprayer.

Is there a fountain in the pond by the horseshoe?
