Maverick Queue

I just thought of an interesting idea.

What if they had some TVs in the old WWL station playing the three Maverick promo videos? I think it would be kinda fun to watch them a few times while waiting in line to pass the time.

Coaster Fanatic Since 2003

That would be an interesting addition, and it would heighten the anticipation to ride.

Yeah, I asked one of the PR guys about something like that during the G.O.C.C. Fall freak out event, and they said not going to happen.

What a relief... :)

I wonder what the station music will be like. Obviously western themed music, but is it going to have a techno beat to it.

"Knights of Cyndonia" by Muse would be perfect. I believe someone had this song in a Nolimits video they made for Maverick.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Maverick queue setup as that seems like the only aspect of the ride that not a lot of light is shed on.

I think that since theres going to be duel loading, like on Dragster, we can pretty much bet there will be a split in the queue or rather the ramp. Something similar to how Dragsters ramp is set up with a split all the way to the station.

Wow, so to be able to get on the ride you'll have to challenge another person to a duel?

The winner gets the seat?

This should be interesting and a great addition to the "theming".

I think the Maverick queue will be the best yet. I hope it has a DJ station.

Why did Top Thrill Dragster not have a DJ station?

It's a long queue, unlike Raptor's which is pretty much in one area.

It's cool in a way that they don't have a DJ in Dragsters queue. I've Noticed that people still entertain themselves in line. :)

There's really no room for a DJ in Dragsters line without taking out alot of the queue in order to do it.
If they were to do one for Maverick, my guess is that it would be in the middle of the queue house/WWL station.

I really dislike the DJ's in Millennium Force's line. That line's music was my first introduction techno-trance music, and now it's all I listen to. I love the music that is usually played! But...I'm not that average in my tastes of music. :)

As for Maverick, I think it might be too heavily themed to be playing random songs. When I'm standing in a western themed line I wouldn't feel right if SOS and Feel the Rain on your Skin were playing. ;)

I do feel like CP is going to produce a western playlist much like they have with TTD and its songs about racing playlist.

It wouldn't be a bad thing if CP tried updating some of their soundtracks throughout the entire park, I know that there is modern music out there that is family friendly...

The soundtrack I'm sure that your talking about are the ones that play on the outdoor speakers, right. Between the roar of the coasters and the ambience of the people, it's kinda hard to hear the music anyway. I hope that they do something in the queue that entertains people waiting for 2 hours. *** Edited 1/8/2007 4:40:50 PM UTC by ltparkmaster***

Just so long as it's not "Tear in my Beer".

Classic bluegrass, folk and "vintage music appropriate to the Wild West of the 19th century, perhaps? A li'l eclectic...but it works.

After all, the theming will only anticipate the ride experience.

"ANYTHING" but Michelle Branch, Avril LaVigne and the easy listening rock format would be just peachy.
